They are those machines in grocery store aisles that spit out coupons.

At least in my area, they are not common anymore. I used to see them in grocery stores back in the day.

vaguely remember seeing them. They seem to have gone out of style in grocery stores.

What do you mean "what kind"?

The kind that come in the newspaper, and in the mail that you're supposed to use in grocery stores. "One dollar off of Folger's Coffee", buy one X, and get one X free, etc.
