Is there anyone else here who has managed to live through the past 41 months and has never had a covid test.

No.
Early during the pandemic, I prefered to be sure I wouldn't spread it to my parents.
Then, later, when I got a bad cold with disturbing neurological symptoms, I wanted to be sure it's just covid and not a bad cold plus some serious neurological problems.

Avoiding being tested seems a weird goal. Avoiding being infected, however, seems quite reasonable, especially for those vulnerable to complications.
