Do escalators give you escalated fear?

They give me a very escalated sense of fear. I just hope that there's such a thing as an elevator that I can take when it's my time to go to Heaven.

I used to be very scared of elevators as a child. As an adult, I have to watch them carefully to make sure I time my steps correctly. So, yeah, I guess I'm still a little afraid.

I like them. We used to play on them in the shopping centre when we were kids

I'm OK with escalators.

If I'm ever in a wheelchair I hope there will be escalators with steps big enough for a wheelchair.

Oh yeah cool. It's like the moving walkways in the airport and train stations. I love them me. They're like big treadmills

What I don't get is that when escalators and lifts/elevators go down, they are still called escalators and lifts/elevators.
