If I have a nice house, will I get more social acceptance?

It would be nice to someday to come home to a nice house and a beautiful girlfriend/spouse. Hopefully, if I can make more friends and be social, the rest can fall into place

That right there is the problem. None of materialistic stuff is going to fill that feeling of inadequacy and very few people are going to want to spend time with people that have that view

Focus more on hobbies and enjoying life when you're not at work and you'll probably find friends. If finding love is that important, you can do what I did and just get a matchmaker.

But it takes money to surround yourself with nice things.
Executives and doctors have the money to buy nice things but don't have the time to enjoy them!
They are too busy working!

I spent too much time working and doing home repair to save money.
I fixed all my major appliances! Stove, washer, dryer, refrigerator, microwave.

Fortunately I realized this in time and retire before I was 60!

Which is why I’m going to get as much overtime as I can.

I missed social activities because there was too much pressure to do stuff for work.
Shortly after revealing to my friends that I was transgender I got the phone number from one on my female friends but never followed up on that.

My doctor works 9-4 at home.
Her children walk home from school for lunch from 12-1.
She's a gazillionaire.
OK not really a gazillionaire, but they're loaded.

Everything in life is a trade-off. More hours = less time to enjoy yourself.

Are there folks on the autism spectrum that are good at managing their work/life balance like that doctor that works from 9 to 4?

I met a nurse on a golf course that makes house calls. Her schedule allows her to play golf during the week when it is less crowded. She was rather tall and played softball. I'm short and have never been mistaken for an athlete. In a remarkable coincidence our distances with a particular club were nearly identical!

Its lovely to want to have nice things , and as I had lived , I was luckier than most , I feel . Had been roughed over by family so much was eager to get out if the parents house . And i got sn apt. Then I searched and compared houses
but affordable . Ended up buying raw land . That had a electrical poles along one side of it .And checked the County codes dept. Just went in and asked where the building codes were put down in the laws they made where, Read those!
Same place writes the zoning laws . What kind of buildings ,Homes or its a business building only area.?
Then , maybe find a realeastate agent . If land is for sale , or ask them where land for sale is..If you can pay off a cheap piece of dirt . that has a small but good slant,to it. So , no standing water..Make it yours . As you pay off the cheap land , you look for old but nice Mobile homes.( providing you looked to see if the building codes you read allowed
Mobile homes or prefab homes on that property, you want. But might call local water company
. To see if they got water lines in the area/ or get your water delivered to tank . Then electric company or a handy electrician. Same with Plumber .Shop around for services.Always use a Title company to close the Land deal .
These are the actual big steps , to becoming your own mini land developer..
[ The problem is after all that hard work .somebody can come along and take it all away.] and you do not get to choose your neighbours . There are a few major steps in attempting to control who moves into the area you live in. But in the end You still never know who yoour neighbours will be, If are deciding to buy a prebuilt home. Go to that neighbourhood on a couple of Friday ,Saturday night weedends . And observe before you buy . ( maybe get an idea if who your neighbours will be .) Spent the few hours around darkness, playing with your phone. And a Saturday nights.
Best wishes , but lots of nice things that are obvious, can attrack unwanted attn, in a neighbourhood sometimes.
careful whom you share your stuff with. 8O ...The disparity between ,upper , & working and poorer classes have never been so So divergent . At least in the USA..imho.

There used to be a big problem with water in the basement but I fixed it!
I added a lot of plants with active root system that soak up water.
There is a pollarded weeping willow fifty feet from the house. About 15 feet tall.
Now there is just a trickle of water that enters a window and leaves via the basement door.
With a small dehumidifier the humidity stays at 60% or below.
