Especially you, username88... I want to see all of you post a picture of yourself holding up a sign that says "I am really username88" or whatever your name is... I'll post mine when I get a camera, lol!

I notice of the top 50 posters on WP I think 40 have posted a photo
of themselves that I have seen.

But did they prove it was really a photo of themself? I mean, it's kind of hard to tell your friend, "Can you hold up this sign as I snap a photo of you?"

Friend: "Why do you want me to hold a sign that says "I am really username88? What the f**k is username88?"

Ha, my friend would be love to do it. It would amuse her.

The pictures I have posted of myself of the past are really me though.

Alright then, make them hold up a sign that says, "I am RainSong and I swear I'm really a girl, I'm really harmless and I won't harm anyone when I meet them in real life." It isn't foolproof... no security is... but it must help. :)

She would do it if I asked (she lives far enough away that I'm not going to go for that particular errand, but perhaps next time I see her I'll ask her to do such. I know she'll say yes). She might object to the no harming promise though; that's not her style.

I emailed just such a picture to someone once — but then they turned out to be fake. 8O

Ain't life grand? :?

I feel no need to prove a pic is a pic of me. One here has seen me on webcam and so could verify my pics are me, and some will see me on Sunday and they could verify so there. How about you show us a pic of you and prove that you are you then.

I think the men here should post pics of themselves holding photo ID! Then we girls can PM ours to the man here that we talk to. In the menatime, for you guys, I'm gonna post some pics of me in the "Post of pic of the real you" thread, hold on...

Haha... that tickles.

The fakest person I ever knew online was a friend from our roleplaying group. He insisted that he was a high powered stock trader by day and an Abercrombie underwear model by night. Oh, yeah, and his wife modeled for Victoria's Secret. We asked him for pictures of himself and he showed us photos torn from magazines. We humored him though. It made for some very interesting stories about life at his Arizona estate.

I've never been involved romantically with anybody fake though. That would be awful.
