Is it normal (autism wise) that I find writing punishment lines and similar like i used to get at school really helpful as an adult yet I worry about doing them in public?

You mean like writing lines at school for punishment, only instead of something like "I will not talk in class" it's more like, "I will make eye contact" or "I will not infodump my special interests on people"?

Sounds a little too much like something ABA would do.

The only lines I would do aren't punishment.

Mine was "I will not run off to the washroom without asking the teacher."

See, whenever a teacher tried to give me trouble for that I made it clear that I was entitled to go to the bathroom and that if they didn't want me to go on the floor they better not complain about me leaving to do it where it was appropriate.
