I am enjoying the 90s nostalgia in the 2010s so far but PLEASE GOD I do not want to see a return of the 2000s nostalgia in the 2020s.

Seriously I disliked the fashion and music of the 2000s and I would much rather the 2020s be influenced by the 1970s for example.

Anyone here agree with me on this?

The 70s rocked. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Do you think though the fashion industry will bring back the 2000s since we always see a recycle of fashion every 20 years.

Remember the 2000s was influenced by the 80s

I don't really mind the 2000's but I really, really loved the 90s and love 90s nostalgia.

Enjoy it while you can because we are only 2-3 years away from the start of the 2020s :(

I live in the 70s so it won't bother me too much when 2000s nostalgia comes round.

However, I will feel VERY old.

To be honest, things haven't really changed that much culturally or artistically in the last 20 years or so. Technologically yes, there's been rapid increases but outside of that not so much.

I think things have changed culturally in the last 20 years, because of technological advances even on things that did exist in, say, 1997.

For example, even though people already had computers and cell phones twenty years ago, numbers were still lower than they are now, and you still ran into plenty of people who did not have a phone except their home landline, or did not even have a computer at home. I didn't have either twenty years ago.

And that affects things culturally and socially because it was still the last part of an era when people didn't let social media dominate their lives. It was still a time when time spent with friends did not yet mean everyone staring at their phones, or time spent at home did not yet mean everyone was on their computers instead of having family time, etc.
It was about to come on big-time but in the 90s we were still not there quite yet.

That's one of the things which have massively changed in leaps and bounds, and which I miss.
