Nothing to see here...move along! :P

In the past month, many of us have come to the conclusion that this site has been infiltrated by some entity whose intentions we have yet to fully determine. There have been a lot of seemingly friendly topics lately that have asked for very personal information. Blood types, birth places, pet names, etc... The list is quite extensive. Separately, these topics seem like friendly little "get to know you" threads. Collectively, the owners of this information could easily hack into personal bank accounts by determining passwords and answers to secondary security questions. Do the culprits want to start a commune or some cult to breed Aspies and are weeding out potential members by determining their physical defects? Are they trying to lay claim to the Northwest Passage in the name of Canada? We just don't know yet. While their motives are uncertain, we have decided to bring your attention to this now, rather than wait until their evil plan has been implemented. Take heed evildoers, we have our eyes on you.

Your argument is well founded.

"Collectively, the owners of this information could easily hack into personal bank accounts by determining passwords and answers to secondary security questions."

Everyone that uses an online bank account should be using a REALLY impossible password which will be impossible to guess. Password crackers use techniques called 'dictionary attacks' that scan for known words so:

Good passwords:
mkdcjcgbdfc, gndcjmj, 84nbeuuc, 3cx67c7vc

Bad passwords
password (this is not a joke), your user name, your pets name, any name in your family, the town where you live.

As for the secondary security questions, these exist for a reason and you should NEVER reveal information like this on an online forum.

Wow. you guys are so PARANOID!

This is how I made the empty space:

1. I hit "Enter".
2. I held down on "Enter".
3. I let go of "Enter".

Flagg just sent me this PM entitled "Your tactics will falter."
I told you once to leave me alone in a PM and suddenly you diagnose me with an egocentric disorder and gain a vendetta with me. You are either vindictive or harassing me in a poor attempt to get me to give you money to placate you. I will never give you a single cent of my money or fall before you, data farmer.

You will end this here and now.
Really; Edal is right. Cahnge your poor passwords... I haven't done anything yet. If someone else on this board did, those things can be tracked by IP#s and I'll get off scott-free because I'm innocent. :) If someone manages to steal my IP#, that would narrow it down to one of the mods because only they can see members' IP #s... if it happened, we would usually really not know who did it, and so we would all get off, and the blame game should stop. :)
