I've had Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Does that count?
My doctor has suggested this to me. Can you elaborate on it a bit? Was it effective? What did it involve? Would you recommend it to a fellow quixotic manic soul?
I have a hard, hard time stomaching the notion of going to see a councelor. Intrinsically, I just can't seem to find any faith in someone else to help me with my problems; call me arrogant if you like; but I imagine I would be advesarial from the onset; the notion is making me agitated right now. I just can't see it as being productive. Maybe I'm being small-minded.
But, genearlly speaking, I consider you all to be my councelors. I seek, and often find, a certain degree of catharsis through my ramblings here on the forums, my interactions with the various souls here. I often get caught up in trying to help others with their difficulties (i.e. I am the counsellor), but these endeavors often end up helping
me in turn, often in ways I don't expect. In all honesty, RainSong has been my best and most effective counceller here so far; I find a delightful irony in this, as she is less than half my age.
Good fortune,
