Yeah, I actually stumbled on this on utube today too.. Watched several of his vids . Pretty harsh..but he speaks the truth. But sometimes not everybody is in the same situation. It is very sad, cause ,I literally ecperienced what he spoke of especially as a okder disabled person. But I downsized, just like he appears to have done. But the situation is stable here now. So I am glad for that. Feel like selling a bunch of stuff, thst weighed me down.. Think it will be okish for a while . quite a coincidence, I just watched this vid this afternoon, too. :ninja:

This man speaks some very blunt but honest truths about how our society views and treats the elderly. I have really enjoyed and been frustrated by his well spoken videos.

The sad reality is we are only considered as a useful member of society as long as we are able to work and produce for the system, once we are too broken and/or old to be productive we begin to be viewed as 'useless eaters' that are swept to the side like trash.

Rent costs are always going up to the point of being unbearable for the elderly on a fixed income. What are they to do when rent for an apartment is well over $1000 a month on a $1500 a month fixed income?

The older, the disabled , or worse . The people, Society once respected. As people who actually did things . Such as real work . getting cast aside . The society creating epidemics of lonilyness . As older people, whom might not have been even anle to afford having a family, cause they were working so vlose to the bone on their finances before they retired.
Even ... Then costs of living go up, and the increases in Social services drop like a Rock. Thank you Mr Elon ,DOGE Musk. So priced out of most housing . Have to move to affordable neighbourhoods . Then if they are alone . They often
become targets of Looting and scams . And General Thuggery .Living one day away from being on the street . Then heaven forbid they trip or fall . And a visit to the ER . Or their daily routine is screwed over , And presto the eviction notice comes or they cannot afford to pay property taxes or something. Or Gawd forbid they try to stay warm in the Winter . So get a brilliant idea Downsize into a towed trailer or somekind of road going home( cheapo tiny motorhome.
Then pattern starts all over again u til. Something happens . And they parked in the wrong place or thought another more affordable area. Las Vegas used to have the most affordable 24 hr buffets .Or something similiar. So they figure better cost of living . Just have to keep up with motorhome care . One flat tire. Can put you into eating catfood for a Long time . And all the while your programmed NOT to be a burden on society. And here comes the goon squad, you parked too close into the city limits. Move it or lose it threats on your motorhome.Instant ticket, more money, you did not budget for. Now your in danger of being ticketed more. So the home on wheels goes straight to the impound .
If not creatively careful . And those people whom just walk by, They haven't seen any of this ""YET"" and now people are programmed to step on each other to make their iwn progress,( till they can't anymore) And I am not talking about the younger druggie crowd. Who think its a adventure, living the life of a vagabond . Or being like their buddies ,oneness in living on the street, And svoring drugs, where everyone us out to victimize the other .Owning a nice keepsake or something similiar, Makes you a target for the next 5 humans you live around. Even a clean or warm sleeping bag .
Makes you that target. Or anything a person can pawn or trade or sell. The disabled/ eldercare,/ Soc. Services/ security is broke . Then you think , lets buddy up with someone. Until you realize cause of all these situations, that person is sizing you up to be a Mark( target) . The tower of capitalism is tipping over.,but its dropping on the less fortunate.
( written from a older disabled person ,point of veiw) :ninja:

Funny enough disabled people pump a lot of money into the economy. Their very existence necessitates a small army of professionals. I counted on my hand just under a dozen people that directly benefit financially from my existence.
