Because my computer still runs on Me with a phone line internet, I've not been able to get around fast. But that will all change when tommorow arrives!

How long has anyone on this forum had broadband, or, if they don't have it, when are they going to get it?

2 years now, and we're still only on a 1mb connection.

I've had it for maybe... 5 years with brief periods of a month or two when I was broke and had dial up.

Well, I now have broadband, and although it's much faster, it only runs 20x faster instead of 100x, because of our 7 year old computer. I don't mind though, and it's fast enough for me.

Had mine for about 4 years and it's 2MB. A friendly word of warning be careful with Windows ME since it's no longer supported and it's prone to getting viruses, bugs and stuff. When I had ME and connected to the internet I had viruses within minutes.

My family are considering getting a new computer which is good because earlier on I tried to log on to Braodband but it froze a few times then errors occured when I tried to shut it down. I'm using a computer somewhere else now. Our computer has anti-virus software so we are protected against viruses, but a new computer would be great for the family. We've had our current one for nearly 7 years!

*having acute envy attack*

We're still on dial-up so I can't watch YouTube stuff - well I can if I'm happy to wait 20 minutes to watch a 1 minute clip.

I'm trying to convince my husband that we need Broadband.
