For me it was 1998, the year I was 10 (it's so easy for me... I was born on January 2 so I'm the same age for an entire year minus one day!) I got an ice storm for my 10th birthday0-- the big one in Quebec that was declared a state of emergencdy. A 2-week holiday from school, fun at my aunt's place with my cousins, fun at a shelter after with a friend from school, the excitement of the crisis... it was great! I got to go to a funeral (my grandmother's), I was in this great drama thing where I had fun with other kids and got to act, which I enjoyed. I then went to Gaspe and had fun with my other cousins, pulled pranks and played together; it was so fun!

Probably this year. It's gone better than past years.

-Had an internet girlfriend for 4 months, even if she wasn't very suitable.
-Got more friends and I've had more luck with the ladies.
-A certain female likes me on here, which is a recent development.

I guess that it's all up to me now. The first half of the year sucked academically though. I'm doing better in most aspects now. :D

So yes, 2007, and 2008 will be good years.

1981, when I was still a toddler. No real explanation, though.

Typical WP response, based on a lot of lurking: "I have hated every year of my life. I don't think it will ever get better, and I think I'm going to just give up." hehe...I hereby ban all replies of that sort!

I guess I'm banned from this topic then. I've had some good times here and there but I can't say that there's been any year that I've truly enjoyed.

1996, when I was seven years old (minus the last three days  ). Everything seemed to go extremely well that year, I was at the peak of my popularity, there was lots of good stuff in the media, and it was overall the funnest year I can think of for me.

1998

It was the year I first got married, everything then was still so exciting and new. It's not that it's bad now, but we had more freedom then! (meaning no kids-----not that we don't love the kids :D )

I'm going to say 2002, because it was the year music in england officially got interesting again, and getting into certain bands changed the direction of my life.

1997 Was the best year of my life. Austin Powers made his debut, I was at my healthiest, and that was also the year that I've done the most of my art work. That was also the last full year that I was working. 1997 Was also the first year that I got aquainted with the Internet.

I've had many good years, but the best was 1973. I grew up in the NW and it was my senior year of high school. I was an all-state athlete, and in a small town athletes are treated like demigods. I know the adulation wasn't real, but for a nerdy kid, to suddenly be admired, and respected, it was to seductive to be resisted.

Later that year my close friend was killed in a tragic accident, after that, life was never as simple as it had been for that one brief year.

2007 - this year has been the best year of my life!

Got 2 of my 3 sons diagnosed with AS and therefore been able to provide them with the help they need so they're happy now.

I've started therapy for my depression which has been brilliant. Depression is just a memory now.

Family life is good now. (Though we still have our moments).

My brain has been so happy this year - I have learned more this year about how the brain works than my 4 years of university!

I think I've learned more about human nature than most people will ever know!

And I've discovered WP which is fantastic. I've met heaps of interesting people and made lots of new friends.

1991 was the best year of my life,

It was the year that I was born and it was the best because I can't remember it.

The first half of the nineties, when I was too young to realize how much life starts to suck as you grow up. :p

1977

It was the year I finally decided that I was fed up of the loneliness and being the butt end of peoples jokes so I finally decided to DO something about it.

Probably when I was about two. My first year of life was crap because I was so sick, but my second year of existence was somwhat less punishing, and I didn't have to stay around other people if I didn't want to.

1979-The year my cat, Samantha, came to me

1982-The year of my high school graduation.

1991-The year I attained my Master's in English

1994-The year I got my first real job, teaching English at the junior college level

1998-The year my dog and four of my cats arrived

1999-When I started work at my local newspaper

2002-When I started work at the library. Five years later, I still love it.

This year-I wrote a book about my pets and sent it to a publisher, a goal I had in mind for years.

In years to come, I hope to be able to tell about other accomplishments.
