so, we came *this* close to devastation?

So, the US had our nukes aimed at the USSR and they had theirs trained on us...for what? Stupid ideological reasons? What were the major points of contention between the USSR and the US? I mean, were they really THAT crucial and paramount that they were willing to destroy the whole earth?

Do world leaders have some kind of personality disorder where they think just because two or more leaders disagree, they threaten to blow each other up? Were they afraid of us invading or us corrupting their youth?

Let me sum up: They/we were willing to DESTROY THE PLANET based upon ideological differences.

That's pretty f**ked up right there.

Be more worried about this...

http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/091407R.shtml

THAT is bad, bad, bad, and it's everywhere. I'm never really worried about nuclear devices, I live in a military town, I'd get hit first, so no pain for many people. A depression will cause people the starve to death.

Ideology is very important to some people.

However, not everyone in America had American ideology, and ditto for the USSR. What we need is a mass exodus. Where everyone with one ideology moves to one continent, everyone with another ideology moves to another continent and so forth until everyone is with their own kind. Then resolutions can be made.

HOWEVER, there's no way we can move so many people. And on top of that, what's to say that the children of those who moved will agree with the parents?

Taking that into account, we need a way to easily transfer personell from one place to another with no harm done to anyone, from the state to the individual. Meaning that a child who disagrees with a parent can move to another state without being taken away from parents they need. Lovers who disagree must be moved to different states without being parted.

There is a simple solution, as there is to every problem. The solution is the internet.

On here it matters little that I'm in Scotland and most of you are in America. Because on here we are one state. We can seperate ourselves from [from this point on, I must use obscure metaphors, sorry], shall we say, the emos on MySpace and the sadists on Mygot. On the internet we are seperated into ideologies and, with only a few skirmishes, live in peace. However, we live in peace because resources are abundent. If someone said "only X amount of bandwidth will be given" then the emos and the sadists and the Aspies would go to war.

I don't know where I'm going with this, it's turned into a rant. What I mean is that where anyone can be connected to anyone else in close communities AND resources are abundent, we can have real peace.

The internet provides both, but many still long for real interaction (I know I do).

So the objectives for world peace are:

1) Create a system where peopel can be close to their close ones but also seperated into their ideologies. Teleportation?

2) Create abundent resources for all communities to have plenty.

If we can do that, all is well.

Sorry for the rant, got carried away.

Too bad they didn't destroy the planet. Oh well, there's still hope.

When I was a kid I watched my father build a nuclear shelter in my grandmother's basement. Someone had decided that basing missiles in Cuba would be a great thing to do so for a few days the world held its breath until prople started talking to each other again.

The worst bit was the fear in my fathers eyes.

Dig those Nucleur shelters out again, the ruling Elite have deemed the worlds population needs to be reduced by two thirds, they also want to frighten us into abandoning National patriatism in favour of a One World Order with them ruling it, a limited Nucleaur war will acieve both objectives.

They are just painting "Made in Iran", (in English so you can read it), on an American nuke as we speak, in order to get the ball rolling.

As for the dollar, Ive been warning friends to sell dollars and buy gold instead for a while now.

But nobody ever listens, or ever will.

Or hiding in the woods. That works, too.

My parents put the pool table out in the garage (the cars were left in the driveway for the duration), and had sandbags piled all around it and on top of it, with a tunnel entrance/exit for us that my parents were going to pull sandbags into if we had to get in there (in the event that the birds did fly).

(A General Motors plant was less than a mile from us, and would've been a prime target if a nuclear attack did occur.)

Needless to say: we would have died in there; a twenty megaton warhead would've scorched the entire town off the map. Plus, with no ventilation (I don't think they planned for that): we would have suffocated in there anyway.

"They" know this, which is precisely why school shootings steer the Sheeple towards the abandonment of that part of the American constitution that allows every American citizen the right to bear arms, and that right was put in by the founding fathers in order to enable the populous to be able to stand up to a Tyranical Government regiem, like the sort Bush is implementing through his bogus "War on Terror".

I know who Iam more afraid of!

That's the cold war for ya.

Conflicting ideologies. Capitalism vs Communism. And both sides were superpowers which considered each other very dangerous.

Mutually assured destruction, both sides were scared s**tless of each other's weapons, and the only way to ensure security was to keep the nukes trained on the opposing nations.

But we're still here, are we not?

No, that's paranoia. Believe it or not, they aren't out to get you. At least not here in sunny Australia. If you feel they are, then I guess you must have given them reason and vice versa; but to suddenly drop everything and say 'the nukes are coming' like Paul Revere sad about the British 230 years ago is a bit naive. And just because someone posted it on the net, does that mean you have to believe it?

Yep most of the world will be screwed, but not all, look at the money the World Bankers made the last time in the recession of the 20s and 30s.

Its something the finantial houses can arrange, get us all in to debt with worthless paper money, bring on a collapse and then call in the bad debts with material goods and gold.
They can also step into the power vacuum on a international scale to secure power for themselves when governmnets fall.

Look at Africa for instance, they leant money to Africa for decades knowing they could never pay off the interest rates, then at the G* summit a couple of years back, they announce they will wipe off Africas debt, how kind of them, but get this, in return they get to control Africas monetary system, and as Rothchild said, If I control the banks of a country, it matters not who is in power.

The collapse of the monetray system will be the main way the International bankers establish thier New World Order and we will have to get the mark of the beast in order to buy or sell anything, thats why Iam puting my savings in Gold, just like the bankers themselves do.

Paper is just paper.

MAD, absolutly! Its a crazy thought but perhapse having all these missles pointed at eachother almost enshures both sides will survive, and that their will be peace. I suppose it worked...
