I hate dubbed movies.... it completely throws me off. Give me subtitles!

I need subtitles for movies in English....(auditory processing difficuties)....but yeah..for foreign films....I definitely prefer subtitles.

Subtitles are definitely better in my opinion for most anything originally done in a language other than English

I can't focus on both the movie and the subtitles, so I need dubbing to not get lost...and subtitles annoy me.

I play the subtitles on EVERYTHING I watch, Use the Closed Captioning for regular T.V. Must have it on always, I seem to get more out of it when I can read it. Is that what the "auditory processing" stuff is? (I'm still sorta new to "all- the-freaky-weird-stuff-about-me-has-a-name") I don't know, only know that w/out the captions I get kinda lost in all the words and quit paying attention. If I can read it, I pretty good at committing iot to memory if I want to.

Subtitles, for two reasons:

1. US voice actors are notorious for horribly mangling everything.

2. Hilarious mistranslation is only hilarious when you can post a screencap and show everyone.

I noiticed that the subtitles and dubbing are different on Crouching Tiger Hidden dragon! I dont really have a preferance, subtitles or dubbing is ok.

I actually prefer subs most of time. For anime first, and for other movies when I can't play them loudly. I admit it also helps pay more attention to the plot.

I generally prefer subtitles, because sometimes the mood just gets lost in translation Of course almost everything on German television is dubbed and they're mostly good. It's just annoying having to listen to the voice normally associated with Bruce Willis (sounds quite like the original), but seeing some other guy. Sometimes things like that bother me so much that I have to stop watching something. Well, there's always DVDs... I don't think I ever watched one of my DVDs with the German dubbing

Oops. I forgot to vote-dubbed definitely. Because I like to atleast hear what's doing on/being said if I'm in the kitchen or other rooms.

I'm fine with either if they're done well. I liked Spirited Away with dubbing and I liked Pan's Labyrinth with subtitles. I guess if it's dubbed, I get to pay more attention to visual details, but I don't like when speech gets mangled or over-acted.
