LabPet, as some may have read elsewhere, offered to send me her Russian Nesting Dolls to me, as she compared Sophie to them as having many layer, which she liked. I said yes, and I got them in the mail two days I ago. I really love them and I'll keep them with me at all times (whenever logical). I like the smallest one the best, because it is very simple with no fancy work like the rest of them gradually do as they get larger and larger. It also reminds me of how Sophie, in the big picture, was quite small, and yet at the same time, the big picture, to me, would not be complete without her, similarly to the dolls. It also reminded me of how I would get upset over little things when I was small, like a missing piece from a toy.

The Russian nesting dolls are so beautiful.

What a thoughtful gift and remembrance too.

Russian nesting dolls are collectibles...and the longer you keep them (especially in beautiful condition), the greater they increase in value. Some of them are worth alot of money. You are so lucky to own them!

They are beautifully painted. I am glad you have the dolls... I know when people I cared about passed away I would sometimes carry around something which reminded me of them. Somehow it helped.

Something about it... just really gets me...

Thanks for the pics though!

I think it was such a great thing for Labpet to do and I'm glad you have them to enjoy now... I'm sure any value you put on them is relative to your association with Starbuline.

That's great to know. I'll keep them in pristine condition even moreso now.

They are beautiful!

I like those dolls. I remember my uncle had some of them, and they were in his living room. I always wanted to touch them and play with them when I was little, but he never let me touch them :P
