Mow the lawn!

It's our rainy season here in Humboldt County and I haven't mowed the yard all summer. It didn't grow hardly at all because I also didn't water it! :P The landlord thinks it's a waste of water to wet the grass in the summer... that's nice for me!

I'm just going to mow the front... it's small... the backyard is BIG.

Other things on my to do list just around the house...

-finish priming the kitchen walls and then paint... gotta pick out a color though.
-prime the living room walls and ceiling and paint... more color choosing here also.
- wash dishes, take out the garbage, sweeping and vacuuming would probably be a good idea sometime this weekend.
-go through my piles (fairly newly arranged ones from the last time I went through them) and find any bills I haven't paid yet. Put the rest in the recycle bin, into files to save, or back into newly arranged piles. I think it makes my place look much nicer to have newly arranged piles of papers/magazines/etc. I'm sure Martha Stewart would agree... if she were ADD/AS :D
-be sure to fold all the laundry I'm doing today... oh, and put it away somewhere.
-can't forget to cook dinner/supper and watch the movie that's overdue - Particles of Truth (I love those Indie films).
-practice guitar, that Billy Joel song on the piano, saxophone, and I should really put some time in on my fiddle.
-Oh! Homework! I've got two big projects to do for classes... both will be powerpoint presentations.
-Send in that advertisement for my pistols I have in the gunshop for sale(I've decided to sell some guns and spend the money on things for my daughter and myself... like skiing/snowboarding this winter :P ).
-Try to get Ubuntu onto my Dell
-Call that guy back about fencing lessons for myself and my daughter (she wants to learn to fence... I just need another project )
-Sew up, de-spot, all those shirts and other clothing I have stacked in my room.
-OH, my room (this is NOT where I sleep... not enough space for a bed... I sleep on the futon/couch in the living room)... I could try to organize some more things in there! Actually, as long as I can; get in my closet, access my electric guitar and bass and the amp, and the other important oft' used stuff in there, I don't really need to get it ALL cleaned up!
-I need to fix a corner on the 'shed' I have out back before the real heavy rains come.
-It would be nice to call family back in Texas, but I probably won't for a few more weeks... or until they call me.
-I need to sit down with a calender, my work schedule that just came out, my daughter's school schedule, our child-custody schedule, and figure out when we can go snowboarding/skiing this winter. I always seem to put this off until the last moment.
-I should also be looking at my school schedule for next semester... I get early registration because I are dis... a... bowl...'d becuz I am A..D..D :P
-I need to take a look at my bank account
-I have at least three electronics projects in pieces here in the kitchen that I need to finish up with soon.
-I really should run tomorrow since I didn't today.

and it's almost 4 in the afternoon on Saturday... aww, what the heck... it only takes a minute to do... right?

So...

What are YOUR plans for the weekend? 8)

You only have 83 more to go. Seems to me it would be easier to just get those posts out of the way in the alphabet game or the "make the person's avatar above you say something" game. But then, judging from your avatar, you are a person who desires words of substance! :D

You'll probably beat me on the Linux thing. I downloaded Ubuntu 7.10 but can't get it in yet.

Oh, and this time I mean it! I'm REALLY going out to mow the yard now... I have my socks on the table ready to put on as soon as I stop typing... which should be anytime soon... because I really want to go out in the cold wind and mow my damp grass and plantain... so the neighbors will be happy, that is... yeah... any minute now... you just wait and see...

Well,it's 10.12 AM on Sunday morning here in Australia.
I have been up for 40 minutes & so far I have logged on to WP & chain-smoked cigarettes
& put 'Video Hits' on mute.
I decided to scroll the threads for a change instead of getting on through my e-mails.
My immediate plans are:
1.goto the toilet
2.make a cup of hot-chocolate
3.take my alkalynity raising solutions & tablets
4.drink a litre of water
5.read wsmacs post
6.get my train of thought back after my mother just came in again & shouted "MAAAATT"
like a shot in the head
7.screw it its Sunday I'm checking my e-mails

Uh, never mind... I was just about to ask if you got Monday off for Veteran's Day like we do here in the States... the old colonial thinking again  ... sorry

you know... I was just thinkin'... if you legally changed your name and dropped some of those "A's" from it... it would not only be easier to say... but it would be shorter too and take away some of the bite from when you mum scream it out loud! :P

You eat Virtual Unhealthy Food? :? :P

Which reminds me... I need to walk down to the store and get me some junk food. It's healthy if I've done strenuous work before eating it... right?

I wish you many, many more double posts, syzygyish! I have a friend nick named 'Post Paleo' that I call Postie. After a while they all became 'double posties'

have fun with yours and remember to mark your triple posties, too!

Is it in the rules here that we can encourage such behavior? 8O

The leading cause of computer failure is turning them off, monitors are the worst.

Edison,s original light bulbs are still running, because they never turned them off.

I went through four monitors learning this.

I use the same system as wsmac, and things still get done?

Something's wrong with your system then, I'm afraid to tell you.

I also have heard that it's better to just leave the computer on.
I actually just closed foxfire and put the 'puter to sleep while I was out manicuring my lawn.

And besides... you live/work in a truck! How much can there be to 'get done'? :P

You're a natural. It would be easy to say no to though & i get a lot of pleasure from trying to
think of statements its impossible to say no to;
"the next person breathes nitrogen" for example but wittier
& we've got ppl playing again! :D
I feel deliciously Machiavalian
Thanks

sinsboldly,I made it to 400 posts without double-posting & I see it as a point of honour to avoid them, but when I do I will definitely work them for as much comedy as posible!

While I'm being Machiavalian, another great place to mess with ppls heads is:
http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt37813.html
"The say something really stupid thread"
I'm afraid of what I'll think of next

I finally read your post wsmac, yes, sell all your guns,
being a desperate & dateless bachelor I cannot imagine anything more precious in the world than
a daughter

Peace & Love from Australia
:D
