I need some really awesome, delish, out of this world, far out, tasty and scrumptious ideas for the ultimate sandwich...where you go: *Now THAT's a sandwich!* :)

The bread of course has to be awesome.....now what?

How about an Aspie Burger?

Sourdough bun
Mayo
Mustard
Lettuce, Tomato Pickle
Crunchy burger (maybe veggie)
Relish
Coleslaw topped with secret hot chile salsa (Out of This World!)

I think that an amazing way to make sub sandwiches an improvement over the usual is to add basil leaves instead of lettuce!

Perfection!

Chili, jalapenos, or pepper jack cheese are good on sandwiches.

This is the sandwich I love. It's grilled, but still a sandwich in my book:

If you have electric stove: turn the burner on a medium heat to get it warmed up.

Two slices of bread (your favorite)
One slice cover in a nice layer Peanut Butter (the creamy kind)
On the other slice, a nice layer of Jam or Jelly (I like Grape)
Then slice some banana in thin slices the long ways (stays on the bread easier when you eat it)
Layer the bananas on one slice then marry the two slices together.

Put a pan on the burner (hob for the British folk here :P) and let the pan heat up a few minutes.
Put about a tablespoon of better in the pan to melt.
Then put the sandwich int he pan and cook each side to your desired brownness.

The bananas get soft and all gooey. It's sooo awesomely good. :)

Enjoy.

I make a nice panini-style sandwich using a George Foreman grill. Here's recipe for one serving.

2 slices of Italian bread
1-2 tsp of mayonnaise
a little bit of horseradish, to taste
2-4 slices of sliced ham or turkey, depending on size
2-4 slices of hard salami, depending on size
2 slices of Munster, Monterrey Jack with jalapeños, or Mozzarella cheese,
4 small pickle slices or 1 large pickle slice

Take 2 slices of bread. Mix the mayonnaise with horseradish, and spread the mayonnaise on the bread to cover evenly. (You can mix directly on the bread.) Put the lunch meats on one piece of bread. Put the cheese on the other piece. Add the pickle slices on top of the cheese. Put the bread together. Toast the sandwich in a George Foreman grill for 2 to 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and there are grill marks on the bread.

You can experiment with different types of meats, cheeses, and any ingredients you wish to add. Just make sure you use Italian or other European-style bread. Wonder Bread or any similar kind won't work; it'll be squeezed flat in the grilling process. For health reasons, you can replace the mayonnaise and horseradish with Dijon mustard. While you're at it, use whole wheat.
