That time is here again, and I still remember how I hated it last year. I would like to shop online, but I never seem to know who wants what until I actually see an item in the real. But all those people! I wish i could pay someone to shop for me...

only shop for son, (and perhaps his papa), and even sorting out present for son is complex.
So far settled that me completely tidying his room before xmas will be half of present. He said that this idea for a present was almost too good to be true ! ! 8O :)
But he also wants some Mars Mission stuff from Lego, and i'm saying but it would be a continuation of madness to ADD to the uncontrollable pile of stuff he owns already. i've said books.
We are in reflection for mo.
And started the tidy up. :P
So shopping minimised. Only xmas shopping do is for luscious fresh food items in last few days, and shiny sparkly light filled decoration-buying around now , tho most of it's already up from last year!!

PS; i'd like The Cable Guy, INLAND EMPIRE, some Stargate, and that Gibli film Chihiro, and ...........and a watch, and a lush woolly hat,... and ..and ....,but won't get them unless buy them myself. So that's my "immediately after xmas shopping" already lined up !

8) .

LOL. Actually I love holiday shopping, although I know what you mean about not recognizing the right gift until you see it in person.

Actually, the first few times I go out shopping for others, I enjoy it, but after maybe 3 trips I realize if I haven't seen anything worthwhile yet, I never will, and then I have to scramble to think of something the person will like. It can be stressful.

But at first it's fun. :D

I love gift certificates. Then the person can actually pick the one thing they really like and shop after Christmas when there are good sales, getting more bang for their buck. Some people prefer a shop that has their specific interest/brands,some like discount stores that give them more for their dollar and have wider choice of goods.Almost every store now has "gift cards"...I usually get mine at Target from my family and then I can use it to buy my "everyday needs things" and take the money I would save to buy something I like at our local thriftstore....beats the heck out of getting pink sweaters,(Uhm,gee, thanks mom  )

I avoid holiday shopping.
I will generally make people a nice card and write a poem for them.
I know that little kids generally like presents, so I will either give their parents a voucher that they can help their kid/s spend, or cash.
