Does anyone else here take Centrum? I've been taking it for 10 years, and suddenly I can't. The bottle I just bought says "New Formula", and now I get horrid stomach cramps within 5-10 minutes of taking it. It lasts about 15 minutes, then subsides. I've tried taking it with food (makes it worse) and at different times of the day, same results. I always joke that I could eat nails and it wouldn't affect my stomach (aside from heartburn), so this is a first for me.

Is anyone else having trouble, or could you recommend a different multivitamin? This daily pain routine really sucks, but I don't want to give up the benefits of the vitamins. Kids versions just don't have as much, so I prefer a standard adult one.

Since I have IBS, I prefer liquid versions whenever I can get them. Much better to assimilate. I currently take a liquid version of Calcium Magnesium before bed. While it stimulates the bowels, it helps with regularity, so I can't complain. Maybe checking out your local health food store for liquid multivitamin supplements would be a good idea.

What about gummy vitamins? I don't think they'd really have a full spectrum, since they target kids.

I too take centrum and have for many years, and have noticed their is a new formula, tho I feel no difference after purcahsing the new bottle and taking them daily. I wonder if you continue to take them for a few more days if these symptoms may go away over time.

I was hoping that. One day I had a lot less pain, and I figured cool...I'm getting used to them. Nah. Sick as ever last night. I keep hoping though.

I really like prenatal vitamins, actually.
