Why should the vast majority of undeserving popular "celebrities" write boring books about their unremarkable selves, anyway? I refer to them as fame whores.

What about Tom Baker? Didn't write his auto until about 10 years ago. I think he was in his sixties then.

It's a ploy to convince the public that they've actually lived interesting and full lives thus far. It's also self centred and ego tistical to believe they've actually achieved anything worthwhile in this short amount of time. Bruce Lee for example, wrote instructional books and guides in his short life and he achieved more than any of them could ever hope for yet never wrote an autobiography. but this current celeb hungry society can't get enough of their bull s**t and unfortunately it will sell and make them even more money. bunch of twats.

But WHY are so many people interested in these otherwise average, stupid people with money?

Surely Steven Hawking's autobiography should be more popular than that of Victoria Beckham. Does he even have one or a desire to write about himself? I don't think he's that concerned with self-promotion and self-centred publicity, mind you.

Yeah, that's fine. He's done a lot with his life. But going on big brother shouldn't give them the right to do an autobiography, should it?

I believe his former wife wrote one. Besides, Stephen (get the spelling right, Anubis) Hawking might not have enough time, never mind the ability (how long, do you reckon, it takes to write a paper when now all he can do to type is twitching his cheek?).

Probably not unless they have done a lot with their life before and since. The Doctor actually says in The Lazarus Experiment that "Some people live more in twenty years than others do in eighty."

My mistake, they both sound almost the same though, and it is late here. [/excuse]

By write, I mean have someone write it for him as he dictates to them. It's amazing that he's still alive, given his condition. :? Poor, yet extremely clever.

And apparently with a wandering eye, if stories are to be believed.

Roger Bannister wrote his at 25 but, by that time, he had already broken the four minute mile and become a doctor. At 43, I have nothing comparable to show for it, and nobody would read my story. It's all relative.

However, there are so many airhead celebrities here who write autobiographies when they have done absolutely nothing of interest.

Thank you. I had a lot of fun writing that story and hope others will like it, too.
