When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Not going to have one.

I suddenly found myself homeless!

Technically, I'll be homeless the 16th. For right now I'm in an apartment with an unpaid cable and electric bill hoping the internet and electricity won't get cut off before I have a chance to catch a bus back home. (see my first post on this page: CLICK HERE )

It's a mess.

Thank you, YowlingCat!! I am glad that you like my artwork. I'll try to do more soon.

I moved in with my ex-wife hoping to rekindle our relationship. But it started to go not as we hoped. We then realized it would be best to stay friends rather than committed to each other. Then she lost her job. Our finances got drained and we were not able to pay our bills. The strain of that (especially me being a stability-loving Aspie) just caused an irrepairable rift between us. I had moved far away from home to be with her. When we decided to split up (again) I made the decision to go back to my hometown where I feel I belong. I love it there.

Funny to realize I'm going back home with no place to live and everything I own can fit in a suitcase. I like living a spartan lifestyle but a suitcase full of tattered clothes is not my idea of fun.

I'm trully on my own.

My mom died several years ago. My Dad is 78, an Aspie himself and since he's long since retired, on a very limited income.

I have two brothers that could help me a bit but I kind of feel justified in not asking them since I got myself into this mess. I feel it's not their responsibility to bail me out of every mess i get into.

However, this isn't a normal mess. I'm flat broke and will come home without almost anything to my name. And I just don't feel it's in any good taste to ask my brothers to help me buy everything I lost. How could I ask them for several thousand dollars?

have you thought of taking out a nice chunky bank loan to get on your feet and pay back... as long as you know that with a bank loan you can get a job and get back on your feet enough to pay it back then you should be fine... try looking at the citi personal loan program...

Tried that. No bank on Earth will give me a loan.
