Here's another great one, 'Solum certum nihil esse certi, et homine nihil miserius aut superbius'. Which means; 'This only is sure, that there is nothing sure; and nothing more miserable, and yet more arrogant then man'. I have this out of Montaigne's Essays but originated from Gaius Plinius Secundus. Blah (3x), but he wrote that almost 2000 years ago and is still so spot on true, imo.


Just think of how rich some of these ancients would have been, if they decided to put those 'one liners' on t shirts and sell them. :lol:
