I can't drive, so I guess I pick the latter.

Do you like watching sunrises and sunsets?

I really dislike being a passenger.

I like watching sunrises and sunsets but don't get the opportunity often unless I'm at my lake house.

Do you have any major regrets in the past week?

I have a couple regrets.

(Btw, I hope your brothers leg is doing better now, Isa.)

Do you get scared easily?

Thanks - Doctor said it's very advanced gout with infection throughout his leg and severe joint damage in his toe, knee, and hip. He didn't know he had gout but apparently he may have had it more mildly in the past without diagnosis, and Covid vaccines cause significant gout flares. That's why his paralysis started right after the Moderna jab. I googled and that's actually a thing - even non-Covid vaccines can cause serious gout flares. He's doing blood work but he started on gout meds, anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, and painkillers in the meantime. If it's not getting better he will need a CT and possible surgery to save his leg, but thank goodness he does seem to be improving after just three doses of medication. He still can't walk or get out of bed but he can lift his leg and inch off the bed whereas before, he couldn't. The doctor gave him a month off work in case he does need surgery.

I'm breathing a bit easier, but still freaked out by how serious it is.

---

Scared? Me? I'm always scared. Honestly, my default emotion is fear because of trauma and alexithymia.

same question

I don't get scared easily, but I get anxiety easily and am always having at least some minimal anxiety.

I didn't even know that gout could spread to someone's knee and hip, so that's interesting. It's good though that the medicine is already helping, and I hope that he continues to improve and he doesn't need any surgery.

Would you rather have to swallow a big pill or take liquid cough medicine? (I find both of these things very unpleasant. lol)

Apparently gout can even happen in your arms? My brother has had arm issues in the past and the doctor said that could have been evidence of pre-existing gout. Who knew? Not me! I'm just glad it's not Multiple Sclerosis which was my fear when I finally saw him yesterday.

I don't mind big tablets but I think liquid is more satisfying somehow, even if it's nasty.

If you had a choice between cancer surgery or cancer radiation, which would you pick?

I rather have surgery. Surgery scares me a lot, but having a part of my body exposed to radiation is even more upsetting to me.

Do you enjoy visiting/living in cities?

I've never visited big cities outside of Portland, so yes.

Same question.

I don't like going to big cities. I find them overwhelming and depressing. lol

Are you good at tolerating hot weather?

No. Give me air conditioning or give me death.

Would you like to live by yourself?

Usually. Preferably solo or be left alone as much as possible.
I usually no longer do if it's a group visit -- it'll be all business of accomodating them while they enjoy.

I do.
Up to about over 40+ or so Cs on a good day for me.

And oh YES. I would like to a living space that isn't shared.

If you regularly wear socks, what would be it's color, length and materials? If not, why?

I like to wear just regular length white/gray socks. I'm a very basic person when it comes to clothes. lol

Same question.

I very rarely wear socks. In the house I'm barefoot or if it's extremely cold I wear fuzzy slippers. When I leave the house I'm barefoot in my lightweight Converse, barefoot in fuzzy boots in the winter, or I wear tights if I'm in a dress. Socks are usually very uncomfortable except for the fuzzy ones with non-slip traction on the bottom, but those don't fit inside footwear so I can't leave the house in them. I own a few pair of black ankle socks but that's about it.

Do you like to wear hats?

Nope. Not really. But I do when it's below about Minus 5 Celsius, especially if it's windy.

I don't like wearing hats. I just don't enjoy how they feel at all.

Does caffeine help you focus or does it do the opposite?
