My 8th Grade teacher was fearsome.
That's the year I was really bullied.
I ended up vomiting in class from fear of the bullies.
I was too scared to tell her.
I was sure she wouldn't understand.

She found out later on when I had a breakdown in Guidance.
She was actually pretty nice about it.

In HS I had a very demanding Philosophy teacher.
He had three PhD's.
We called him Doctor Doctor Doctor _______ .

He inspired me to follow in his footsteps.

I heard he died from Gout. :(

Who was your favourite relative besides your parents / siblings?

That's difficult. Our family cut off all contact with my father's side of the family when I was 10 years old, for reasons connected to religion and other matters. I can hardly remember anything about those various cousins, aunts and uncles, not even their names.

I never formed any very strong bonds with relatives on my mother's side either, except perhaps for a female cousin who was a year older than me, and whom I always fancied, to tell the truth. She won the Miss Edinburgh or Miss Glasgow beauty queen titles at some time in the mid-70s, LOL. Funnily enough, on the two or three occasions I met her many years later, I developed a bit of an antipathy towards her for some reason.

Do you ever wish you could go back many years to your childhood and 'start again'?

Always.

If you could revisit your childhood would you want to do it first-person through your own eyes, or third-person like watching it on TV?

I ponder this a lot. ^

It would depend on whether I could change anything or not. If I could, then first person, if not, then third person. I just wish I had been diagnosed as a kid. Perhaps my life wouldn’t have been such a mess.

If you could be reincarnated, what would you be in your next life?

A ghost.
I wouldn't really want to be incarnate with another body.

If I could give people a sign I'd be a ladybird.

If I were reincarnated, I would quite like to be a person of a different ethnicity, just to try that out.

Same question.

Not that interested in being reincarnated. I'm happy with the eternal void option.

Does your back hurt today?

No, but my neck hurts a bit.

Do you like or dislike the smell of car air fresheners?

They make me vomit.
For days.

I can't do artificial scents.
I can scarcely do real scents either.

I don't really like them, no. Although I can tolerate them.

Do you use scented shower/bath products?

Uhhh, no.

See above lol.

Nothing is scented in my house.
I can't even bring flowers indoors, or cook very much.

I use an all natural shower gel which smells of blue cedar.

When I have a bath I sometimes put in eucalyptus and peppermint essential oils.

I don't like fake smells but I like some real ones.

What's in your attic, if you have one?

I don't have one, but there's access to some rafters that are filled with very old insulation.
I should replace it because it makes my bedroom subzero in winter.
In the past I had raccoons.

There is no attic in the place that I live.

Does the presence of rats make you uncomfortable?

It definitely would if I had any reason to believe they were nearby, but I can't remember any time when that was the case.

Do you think you could ever be, or have been, an effective police officer?
