Nothing special really, except we'll have turkey, stuffing and roast spuds. :)

What is your favourite Christmas tipple?

Brandy

Did you ever run out of TP during lockdown?

Loo roll? Yes.

My local chemist, who don't stock it, suddenly presented a pack of four to me for £15. I laughed and walked away.

Same question.

What is your normal price? ^

No, I didn't.
I had just stocked up when it started.
Our lockdown was the better part of two years but after the first six months it was easy enough to get.

I ran out of bread and milk, and couldn't get it anywhere.
Also my daughter couldn't get socks for about a year because they weren't considered essential.

Do you owe anyone money? (Meaning family / friends?)

Just over £2 back then. Almost £3 now. A good friend posted some to me in the end.

That's so sad your daughter couldn't get socks for a year! :| I don't remember if we had a bread and milk shortage. Self raising flour was difficult to find because everyone suddenly decided they wanted to learn how to bake.

Not anymore. I used to owe money to family back when I was unemployed for some time.

How many Xmas trees do you have in your home?

Do you like mince pies?

Trees: Seven. I might be missing some. (Five are on display, two are in storage in disarray.)

Yes I like mince pies.

Toilet roll is about $1.50 each.

Do you know how to play tennis? (Keeping score etc.)

Yes, first watched Wimbledon on TV in 1968, and played tennis (pretty badly) on and off for the next 10 years. The scoring system is pretty basic - you only have to win four points to win a game (unless it gets to 40-40 or 'deuce' when it can get a bit drawn out), and you need to win six games to win a set (unless it gets to 6-6, in which case....). You need to win two sets or three sets, depending on the rules of the tournament. Couldn't be simpler really, could it?

Have you ever played dominoes?

Thanks for the tennis lesson. My kids played but I remain(ed) clueless.

Dominoes: Nope, I don't thinks so. I've never played chess or checkers either. I was afraid of games when I was young because I didn't know how to speak up and clarify the rules, and I didn't want to look dumb for not knowing.

Do you use a food thermometer when you cook?

No, and you'd know why if you were acquainted with my extremely rudimentary grasp of cooking.

Would you like a glug of the mulled wine I'm drinking right now?

Thanks! There's a lot of laundry!
I'd post a picture but I'm ashamed.
It'll take me an hour to fold, at least.

I never knew Roxy Music very well, but they're nice.

Do you have any musical instruments in your house?
