Can't say that I have except my local Star Wars Collecting Club, but I knew people in person first and met others online before seeing them at a meeting or social function.

I've met two people I originally met online. They were both quite OK people as it turned out.

My sister met up with a boy from Europe a few years ago. They had an incredibly passionate visit (tons of PDA :eew:), but once he went back home, they had difficulty keeping the long distance relationship together. Have fun, ShadesOfMe .

I'm definitely willing to meet someone on this forum but I'm not willing to travel very far anytime soon.

I just want to say thanks to you guys for making this place a safe haven. I mean, without the nice people who come on here, it might not be so nice. and I've found friends here, I mean real good friends. I feel like everyone here cares about each other. it's nice. Plus I found One-winged-angel here!

we're gonna have a sleepover! :D :D :D

Me and Amanda hope to meet someday! I'd sell my HDTV to get tickets if I didn't have parents in the way.

It took a loooot of prodding, mentioning it at every turn, and talks on the phone for things to work out. plus my mom had to work her butt of to get money for tickets.

you have an HDTV? sell it! meet her!

I would, but the only problem is that she's Christian, and thus her parents would probably strip her internet access off her if they found out about that. We have to wait two years when she lives on her own to be able to meet. Time will tell if I have kept my sanity, eh?

Yeah, I've been going insane too. I even asked my mom to give me something to knock me out until we leave, because i don't want to be awake and anxious, and I was only half joking.
