im moving there in three months, im tired of flagstaff its overrated and expencive as all hell. i wont have a car so i'll take the greyhound and if i buy my ticket in 14 days in advance its only $55! OMG. wow, i mean this is a dream come true! no family for hundreds of miles and i wont ever have to deal with them or see there ret*d faces ever again! 8)

In all honesty I thought you were a spam bot when I first opened the topic.

Isn't this a direct example of advertising on the forum?

I'll let it pass, it's where HE is deciding to live. I think rb has been talking about moving for some time anyway.

Richard, good choice! Ruidoso (ReeDOso) is a great place, and New Mexico is wonderful. I'm torn between Oregon and NM. They're in a bad drought right now, as they were the first year I lived there, but after a year, green or brown, the light hooks you. They don't call it The Land of Enchantment for no reason!

You'll be near the Sacramento Peak Observatory, at Sunspot, near Cloudcroft (and at the moment they have a job that sounds great if you have some computer experience and a PhD). A bit of a drive.

Ruidoso (Check out day trip #4).

Sac Peak Observatory

Good luck with that! I'm very envious. :)

Wow...I love the view! 8O

If I could afford to move anywhere I wanted that's similar to what I'd want...somewhere up in the mountains. 8)

ah thank you yowling cat. i didnt know how to pronounce it, ive been to new mexico before but not to the southern part of the state, (ruidoso area) i didnt like santa fe because of the prices! wow. out of this world, but ruidoso seems to be like the best kept secret in the west, and suprisngly its almost identical to the place i live now, just alot smaller

Flagstaff elevation: 6,910 ft

"Flagstaff is located adjacent to Mount Elden, just south of the San Francisco Peaks, the highest mountain range in the state of Arizona, and Humphreys Peak is the highest point in Arizona at 12,633 feet (3,850 m) and is located about 10 miles (16 km) north of Flagstaff."

Ruidoso elevation: 6,920 ft

"A mountain resort town, Ruidoso lies in the rugged Sierra Blanca mountain range of southcentral New Mexico, where it merges with the Sacramento Mountains to the south. Sierra Blanca peak is located 10 mi west-northwest of Ruidoso and is 12,003 feet tall."

Sounds nice, but I'm staying in San Antonio. It's cheaper to live here than in Ruidiso.

It looks beautiful, Richard. Are you still looking around or are you really making plans to move there?

Looking at those pics, you've picked a very beautiful area, dude. And I wish rent here was that low, all the apartments around here charge at least 900 bucks a month.

F*ck Arizona, can I be your neighbor?

move to Alaska if you really want to get away from it all. I lived there for about a year and plan on retiring there soon. A 1 bedroom apartment is like $500 incl elec

And residents of Alaska get oil royalties, don't they?

im going to move there, i think alot of people dont think i can live on my own, because i havent been able to do it so far. but i think once i get away from my family and get into my routine i'll be fine. theres only three things i want to occomplish in the first 72 hours of me being in ruidoso,

1. get a po box at the post office
2. get a new mexico state id
3. hopefully get a place to live, and with those sizzling prices im shure i can find something

the thought of living somewhere else where nobody knows me exiets me :geek:
