Well, my family wanted dessert so we picked up some doughnuts from Wal-Mart (shiver). I had a jelly - sugar was piled on top, and it was all grainy and clumped-together - it scratched my throat.

Yeah, this deserved a topic. LOL

Its a scary place for baked goods. full of chemicals and scary ingredients that you probably wouldnt want in you very often. I would rather pay a little more for a really great piece of german whole grain rye bread. You wouldnt believe how hard it is to get a really good loaf of bread in oklahoma. Around here, the bread is white, poofy and can be squished into a tiny ball. I must admit, that we are finally improving a little in central states. for me, a good piece of bread is not only an asset to a sandwich but a work of art on its own. Valhalla just aint cuttin' it.

Ya, really for me I have only had 2 kinds of doughnuts, good ones and bad ones, if they are not fresh, then they are not good.

I am sorry for the horror you experienced. And yes, while I like walmart because having one I can drive 20 mins to get too means my standard of living is better then it would be without it, but it is super huge and the crowds suck soooo much, heh.

Wal-Mart and doughnuts, two words that should not be used in the same sentence. Unless you're walking through or to or from Wal-Mart eating quality doughnuts from someplace else.

I’d prefer eating cotton balls to eating a pasty from Wal-Mart. The cotton balls tend to have a better texture and flavor.
