I notice there are no threads to share the stuff you have bought recently, as in gadgets, clothes, movies, music etc etc.

I bought some kids painting books and some stickers last night.

I bought two DVDs off the market last week - Gangs of New York, which is fairly good and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest which is a classic; I prefer the book by Ken Kesey though to be honest but the film is still great.

I bought two packets of crisps, some JellyBabies and a can of Red Bull on Monday. But I rarely go out to shops so I think the last time I bought something proper was for Mother's Day.
The last thing I bought for myself was a map of Manchester from c.1880. It's amazing.

I'm into that kind of stuff. I don't know if you have ever been to the European Market outside the town hall and in St Anns sqaure every Christmas but there is a stall there every year that sells old photos of different areas of Manchester and sometimes maps and things too. I go to the markets every year and I have bought a few of the photos for my grandparents (where they used to live was pretty much completely knocked down in the slum clearance so where they lived doesn't exist per se anymore) and also a couple for myself of areas I have lived in from years back.

I haven't been to markets there actually, but I have bought some old photos of my area at a market once. I also have a postcard of Piccadilly from around 1901 which is good. I like local history but I'm kind pof restricted in where I can go at the moment because of social anxiety. I am working on it though, slowly managing to go to the shop on my own etc lol So I will go up there at Christmas if I'm brave enough by then. :)
Have you looked at the Manchester Library website? They have a database of thousands of photos, you can search for your area, a road, your school, anything. I've found photos of All Saints Church on Oxford Rd (it's no longer there anymore, but I walk through the park it stood in quite a lot so I find it interesting.) I've sen photos of my school from about a hundred years ago etc as well. It's interesting to look at if you ever have any spare time anyway.

I went on a shopping spree at Walgreens.....bought a ball that lights up when you bounce it(for the cats, who hate it  ),some pringles for my boyfriends son(OK,I ate some),fuzzy socks that say they are made of bamboo and hemp,a "kitch?ball that feels great but stained my hands green... ......Some L-Arginon for my boyfriend  ,chewy granola bars and coffee flavored kisses..... ,and the coolest little mechanical "wheener dog" that sings "Low Rider" and wags his tail and has hydrolic legs....it's for my sisters B-day but I am having a hard time giving it to her....'cause it's so cool

I dont usually buy much new stuff but I was in a "mood" for toys and sweets.
