WHY ARE THEY SO ATTRACTIVE? I think it's because we can't have them, hehe. That's what I think anyway. There's only one real person I find attractive, and I'm not saying who it is. I find fictional people more attractive than real people...

Berserker really does need a life...

In general, I love fictional people a lot more than real people. I love them because they can't reject me, and I don't have to put a lot of effort into my relationships with them.

Some of the characters I like would be kind of scary (to other people) if they were real, like Ryuk from Death Note or Brook from One Piece!

I wish the characters I made up were real, but only because they're awesome. And they could be my friends, haha.

I suppose some people like fictional people better because they are something "outside this world" that we wish was real. It's probably why some people idolize movie actors: because people like them better in the movies than in real life because they're thinking wishfully. Like Harry Potter, Superman, Spiderman, etc. I do remember having an imaginary friend until I was 12 years old. He would always sit by me on the way home from school when no one else would sit by me. Hopefully he was fictional! lol That would be really weird of someone's imaginary friend turned out to be real lol. That was a random bit of information...of course, it is the "Random Discussion" forum...lol

Maybe because we understand them better than the people around us. There's no "subtext" in a book, just text. Unless you're reading Chekhov. (But actually, I got really attached to a Chekhov character at one point too!)

Fictional heroes cant let you down.
Sure they might get a bad TV adaption or a sell out hollywood movie, but you can always blame it on the writers.

Look at Batman. Theres dozens of versions of him. For me he'll always be the SUperfriends Batman. Thats the guy I want to come to my rescue, thats the guy I want to be like.

What if I had picked Pete Roseor Micheal jackson as a role model as a kid?

I was shocked to discover recently that I am a fictional character. 8O

Good fortune,

- Icarus is stranger than fiction...

But he's so freaking awesome! Fine... I choose... No one. No video game character is like me. The only fictional characters I can relate to are my own.

I most relate to Hinata Hyuga from Naruto. I was a lot like her when I was younger.

 Rock Lee was my absolute favorite character back when I was in junior high! I even bought an all-green outfit just so I could dress like him! I was head over heels in love with his teacher, Might Guy (who basically looked just like an older Lee and was a hundred times more eccentric). I remember putting a picture of Guy and Lee hugging on the front of my binder, and a teacher told me it was too risque because of their outfits (which were spandex jumpsuits).

Reminiscing is so much fun! :D
