I think it's a neat invention and will be a great tool in the next generation consoles.

that has been out for a long time. its called Track-IR . Used for computer games and some graphic artists and architects.

There are some videos in youtube showing how people 'fly' ww2 air combat sims with the track IR system.. the view inside the cockpit follows the movement of the player's head. Very neat but expensive.

I also saw a link some time ago about a guy that hooked his Track-IR to a video camera inside a remote controlled airplane (the toy kind) and would fly it via his screen as if it was a UAV. He could either fly it with his head or use the head movement to make the camera inside rotate. I wanted one of those so badly :P

I'd love to watch porn with this technology.

Rule 34 of the internets says "if it exists, there's porn of it". If that's the case, then there will be porn released using this technology at some point in the future. It's the law :)

Its about $175 bucks for a headset with the Track-IR system.

It truly is not expensive for what it is. Some gaming joysticks I know of can cost up to 110 bucks and this is much better than a fancy input device.

Here's a video of the track IR in one of the online games I play:

http://media.naturalpoint.com/video/gam ... 00kbps.wmv

the level of situational awareness this toy gives you should be considered unfair vs those with keyboard-view controls. So I get an added pleasure shooting down people that I know use track-ir :D
