Get on with it! Do the best that you can!

We may be the last of the species. We may no longer have the luxury of concerning ourselves with these deep and meaningful questions.

I see what you mean, (paragraph deleted, didn't make much sense)
well I also happen to think about that a lot when I'm depressed, and just thought it'd make it a little better If i knew WHY

The depressing version: The meaning of life is to keep the species alive. Then pass on.

The semi-happy version: The meaning of life is to keep the carbon dioxide going to the plants and keep taking air in. YAY A CYCLE!

The happy version: The meaning of life is to find happiness in this strange world we call Earth.

The humorous version: The meaning of life is to find out the meaning. Hey, wait a minute.

Pick your favorite Meaning.

It is a movie by Monthy Python... quite strange but I liked it

They even tell you the real meaning of life in the end :D

There is no meaning. Life is meaningless, it began in an extremely lucky random event, and it may very well end in another extremely unlucky random event. Life is a fluke, we are not the work of destiny or any divine powers.

The question can't be answered objectively. Each of us have the liberty to define (or avoid defining) purpose on a subjective basis - as it pertains to our individual lives on personal levels.

Indeed I do.

The meaning of life... its whatever purpose you want it to be. You give meaning to your life by finding something that you believe in strongly, whether it be your work, your hobbies, your spirituality and faith, to love, to teach, to leave the world a better place than it was when you got here, to leave the world a worse place when you got here.

You'll find whats important to you and learn how to do everything you can to ensure you achieve your goals, all in due time my friend.

thanks for your input :D

but I have gone through all of these things before (seeen the movie too lol) and the question still keeps popping up.

I just find it to be the most frustrating thing ever and wondered if anyone was the same or had a new answer because nothing seems to bring meaning. I would give up everything I owned without hesitation if there would be more meaning

but its not just that, I mean, sure, I can make goals, live a successful and somewhat happy life, then die... But what comes next? thats the part that annoys me most. It seems pointless

I guess ill just let time play its part, and see if the pieces fall into place.

btw I felt really stupid ever since I posted this question cuz I knew I was never gonna find what I was looking for, so just ignore this topic if you want.

but once again thanks for you replies
