They must be, if I see scumbags smoking weed, as they walk down the sidewalk.

I saw a guy rolling weed on the bus yesterday. Then he was replaced by a guy who took a paintbrush out his dirty bag and started to paint his own hand with it. It was kind of a burgundy colour. I kid you not.
Of course the number of homeless people on busses is bad enough--the smell alone is overpowering--but some of them are really out of their mind. I also nearly got in a fight with a woman who didn't want to move her legs so I could pass. And then a few days ago, a guy was actually arrested and taken off the bus. :?

CockneyRebel I find it odd that you so readily insult drug users, when they are so often just as misunderstood as people afflicted by Aspergers Syndrome. Just because you've been taught to believe that something is wrong with a certain person, action or idea does not mean it is so.

I know what you mean McGuinness. Decades of government funded anti-drug rhetoric have indeed taken their toll. Many fail to understand the difference between abuse and responsible usage, citing the substances as problematic when the harm is determined by the users themselves and their individual personalities and practices. Nonetheless, the misconceptions of others no longer provoke me these days, I tend to just (usually) let it be. Just as in religious debates, some will always support a cause while others oppose, regardless of facts presented. There is seldom middle-ground.

That's not to say I won't occasionally partake in a mature discussion on the issue - should those involved demonstrate evidence of critical thinking in their positions. The issue of how to approach the concepts of decriminalization and medicinal practices responsibly and effectively in a modern society is certainly an area of interest to me.
