Savannah is a beautiful city, and not just for Goths. There is a rich history there... and real good food!

Germany is not exactly goth entirely... at least where I live... there are some weird places, like old castles or catacombs or such, but also beautiful places.

yeah, not germany in its entirety - but i feel that over here, goth is quite a prevalent phenomenon. well, maybe not prevalent, since its not really a topic that is highly visible day to da - but in its own little way, we do have lots of goth stuff here. not only are the hugest goth festivals in germany (see wave gotik treffen, leipzig), you can make surprisingly good profit with goth bands here. the last years, i have seen lots of gain in popularity for middleages influenced bands, like schandmaul, subway to sally or corvus corax. they just went from a little niche act to ... some kind of larger niche act. niche of that size that you will occasionally see clips of it on mtv or the like (if mtv aired anything besides stupid shows, that is. but imusic1 is a quite solid bet in that regard).

id say that in eastern europe, the force is very strong, too. i guess there is the usual share of goths in the uk, and youll just find goths more or less flocking at the usual cliche spots: the bone church at kutna hora, prague, maybe venice,... you know.. cool picture places.

*suddenly wants to schedule a trip to Salem*

I'm an optimistic semi-goth.

All right, give me all of the reasons for Salem. Please. *smile*

Sadly, I can't add to this list. I don't travel all over the place much.

I'm guessing it might have to do with Salem's history. (the Salem Witch Trials)

NOLA has *no* goth clubs. seriously. i used to visit friends down there, and there really weren't many goth running around. if there were a decent number of them, they cleared out some time in the nineties when anne rice books were shot to s**t and PZB stopped writing work that fell into the genre.
