Remember last November when I made a post about me getting in my first car wreck?

Well finally the state of Washington is moving forward. Three months have gone by and still my car hasn't been fixed. One of their employees pulled out in front of me so it was his fault because I had the right of way. First they had to get the police report, which took over a month for them to get, then I had to take my car to a auto shop to get a free estimate and my dad had to fill out some paper work the state sent him since my car is under his name. I had to mail in the free estimate paper and then at the end of January, I get a call from the state and it was a lady on the phone. She called to ask about the paperwork because she was confused. She was asking what the paperwork was for and I tell her it was about the car accident I was in because the guy had pulled out in front of me and she said "You're expecting us to pay to fix your car?" and I said "If it wasn't my fault, yes, that's what my Dad told me." And she said the guy should have filed out the paper work then and I have to file a claim for it for them to fix my car and I said okay. She said she send out the paper work that day and asked for my address. I gave it to her and two weeks go by and the papers never came so I call her number and leave a message and my number. She never called back so I try again Monday this week and left another message and then my parents called because they had just came back from Mexico and I tell them about our big issue with my boyfriend not working for three weeks because he is waiting to be approved so he can start his new job. Then I tell them about the call I got few weeks back and the papers never came and I called the lady twice and she never called back so my mother asks for her number. Of course I had to hang up and look at the phone number and write it down and call my mother back and I gave it to her.

The next day, she calls me when I am heading to work. I call her back when I saw I had missed 1 call. I was surprised my parents had already gotten a hold of that lady and they talked to her and it turns out, the paperwork my dad sent back was sent to the wrong place and the lady must have figured it out because the paperwork got sent to the right place so that was why I never got the paper work for me to fill out. Mom also told me the lady couldn't understand me so that explained why she never called back.
When I get into work my mother gives me a number to call because the guy would needed to hear my side of the story so I told her I'd call him the next day when I get up because I don't know how long it take for me.
The next day, I get a phone call from the state and they tell me they are going to send an appraisor out here to look at my car and they ask where I am located at and where is my car at and what color is it and license plate, color of the car. They tell me the appraiser would be out here the next day in the morning and they'd call me ten minutes before they get there.

I sleep a little bit more and then I get up and the number my mother gave me to talk with the guy and he had already gotten all the information. He had called my insurance company and they faxed him the information including the interview I had with one of the lady's at the company back in November, a week after the accident. I doubt the interview was faxed to him, it's audio so they must have played the interview on the phone when he was talking to them.

Gosh the gov. is slow. I am just happy they are finally sending someone out here to look at my car and it's going to be another two weeks to get the report. I just hope everything goes well.
