I first heard it as a kid way back in the early eighties on a Reader's Digest album set of 12 records. (they were huge boxes). I loved it then and used to thrash it a bit.

I remember it came out in '72, right after the election. As a kid, I thought it was cool that they let McGovern's daughter sing about that...
