Not my thing really, but it used to be a regular upheaval on Aspergia, as many old hands will recall. But then it went away, and I can't help wondering if it was because I pointed out that it's not really an autistic thing?

It seems not to be an issue on aspie sites any more, which may be for the better?

I used to think about suicide a lot, almost attempted it once...

It's not an issue anymore, though.

Same, though I don't know if it isn't a issue right now or not. My mind is too blurry to think about that. (Not with drugs, but with life issues crowding my mind)

I believe that most people at some point have had thoughts that they would like to take back, the mind just wanders into areas. And the worst thing is that if you tell your mind not to think about something you think about it. I remember hearing a rather extreme sermon talking about how it is adultery to think sexual thoughts. So I was thinking to myself "don't think about big bouncing boo... damn it, too late." But it was the priest's fault because I wouldn't have done that had he not said that. I'm sure every single male listening to that sermon started thinking about sex once it was mentioned that you shouldn't think about it.

I have suicidal thoughts every day, but they're not usually serious.

Not anymore. I've only read/written about 25% of my life story. I need to at least write/read about what happens next.

I consider suicide constantly.

The joy of clinical depression, Kilroy, it's like being trapped :(

No, never. I don't want to die, yet.

A serious matter topic

I urge people here to seek help. These feelings, while honest, are not an indication of good self esteem or mental health.

Please go to a healing environment at your earliest opportunity.

Once or twice, when I was really depressed.

But I'm just that type who isn't prone to suicide.

A passive death wish crops up now and then, but I've never had any worse.

Killing yourself only makes people more sad and its very true.
