If you have read other posts by the poster above you, rate their grammar from -10 to 10.

Since there is nobody above me, their rating is 0.

I don't think I've ever met your Grandma, so I can't see how I could rate her. :D

Grammar has to be REALLY bad for me to notice it in writing, in verbal comunication however I have to constantly stop myself from telling people they are saying stuff wrong.

Well, as you are guilty of using no capitalization or punctuation, I'd have to give you a four. But at least you can spell well. :)

*reads over your previous posts* I'd rate you a ten. *smile*

Hey, I write in vernacular that makes me sound different than I sound in real life. So... yeah. Rate away. *cringes*

Okay, first off, I put periods at the end of the first two sentences. And I didn't even say that third one! I've had a college-level in language mechanics since I was ten. I'd say I rate better than a nine.

Yes, not having periods was my mistake on the copy/paste. And you are also correct about not writting the third . Didn't realize quotes show in the search as yours. My apologies. I hate to give a 10, since that implies perfection... I'm dithering between 9.8 and 9.9... Perhaps a 9.85. :P

Ooh ooh, since I'm the latest poster, do I get to be rated again?? *hops up and down*

I give you an 8.5. It would have been a 9.5, but you misspelled "writing" (as "writting").

Thanks! That makes me feel much better now. :)

EvilKimEvil, I'll give you a nine. 8)

It's so fun to be skipped!

But, yeah, can I please have a rating?

This is a small portion of a piece of Sonic fanfiction I'm in the process of writing. Rate my grammar based on it as you will.

Quote:
Land of Stormy Skies

Prologue - The Great War

Pitch blackness. It had become quite common lately, since the sun had been blocked out by toxic clouds, whose rains came down like the plague and were hated and feared everywhere.

The entirity of Mobius was slowly dying. Little by little cities and towns were wiped out by one terrible thing or another. Every day the news broadcasters came out with something about how "...the village was brutally destroyed by a hydrogen bomb! No survivors were found..." Or the clouds came and dumped their lethal contents on thousands of helpless Mobians, killing them eventually by radiation poisoning.

But tonight, the black was disrupted by a grand menagerie of light: the beginnings of what would become the Mobian seat of power years later.

This seat of power, however, was not one of good. At its heart was pure evil; the seat of Doctor Ivo Robotnik. Robotnik had always been very bright for his age as a child, and his abnormal IQ of 300 had let him to question the good ways of the society that he lived in. His parents were Puritans and he hated them with a passion.

After years of secret plotting and preparing he released his attack upon the unsuspecting empire city of Mobotropolis. Only a handful of small children survived the attack because of their determined parents, who knew of the only remaining shelter in the city.

The light came from hundreds of factories, which were run by worker robots whose eyes saw but did not see, their senses both alert and deadened. They were alive but dead. They had eyes but did not see. The night vision scanners in these eyes did not require light, but since Robotnik wanted to use as much power possible, he flooded the factories with light, flooded them until the light had pushed back the darkness into every possible corner and strangled and drowned it until it vanished into thin air.

There were also the guard robots, who patrolled the streets of former Mobotropolis, seeking anything that lived and giving it a strong dose of morphine, which circulated in their body and poisoned everything it touched until the poison took the life away.

One of these guard robots was on its nightly patrol when it sensed something abnormal.

You could also search around the forums for other posts I've... posted (that was redundant) and build more of a rating based on those.
