So i had my 21st last weekend. A big thing about it that keeps coming up is that i didn't go out or do anything big for it. First of all, i havent pubilcly celebrated my B-Day since like the 6th grade. Second, I dont like any alochol. I've ahd exactly 2 beers in my entire life and they were 5hrs apart from eachother. Tasted horrible.

I was courios what others did/are planing on doing for their 21st. Just wanted to know iof my not celebrating was normal.

Happy Birthday ! !!

I don't like beer either, though I don't mind rum. :D

You should probably celebrate your 21st in some way - not necessarily a party. Just something that you'll remember as your "coming of age". Doing these things helps you to feel more adult and will keep your life on track.

It's a milestone.

Happy Birthday!!
I sat in looking after my daughter for my 21st which sucked but the worst birthday was my 25th as I was in court against my ex in a child custody/ injunction battle now that really sucked!! I had to get up at 6am to get to the court 30 miles away and spend 4 hours with my ex giving me evil looks and wispered threats and the judge being rude and patronising.
This one will be great though as Im going to Devon to stay in a thatched cottage - Bliss! and my sister is buying me a new Rodney Yee (yoga) dvd and a buddhist amethyst prayer beads!
I hope you get to give yourself a nice treat!

Well, I didn't celebrate mine in any way. Don't see what the big deal is that it needs a celebration.

And yeah, we're weird for not celebrating.

Happy Birthday.

I don't celebrate my birthdays either (and I typically don't drink) and I did nothing on my 21st. It all depends on what you want to do. It's not like you're required to go out and get smashed for your 21st. It may be suggested as a rite of passage but it's not something you have to do if you don't want to. Just do what makes you happy. It's your day.

I dreaded my 21st birthday when it was approaching. I'm sure that I didn't celebrate it. I don't think I've had any alcoholic drinks since age 20. Birthdays haven't seemed special to me ever since my mom remarried - when I was 11. This past year, I spent my birthday doing what i normally do and didn't tell anyone that it was my birthday.

My family is planning on spending Christmas and my 21st birthday in Disney World. It looks like I'll be hitting the ESPN sports bar once I'm 21. After that, I'll be able to go with my mom to the casino.

Here was my 21st birthday:

-Woke up
-Drove to Mall #1, bought a book
-Drove to Mall #2, dropped my car off to get the battery replaced
-Grandparents came by and took me out for lunch
-Grandparents dropped me back off at Mall #2
-Shopped around until my car was done
-Got my car from Sears
-Drove down the street and bought a video game
-Drove home, cleaned off the smudges from the guy who changed the battery on my car
-Played video games
-Mom came over, we had dinner
-Drove to a meeting at my school
-Came home and went to bed

I got a phone call or two from some friends along the line as well.

No alcohol whatsoever. When I was six I vowed not to have a beer and I remain true to that even today.

Basically, my 21st was spent driving around in my Volvo. A good relaxing day.

Happy Belated Birthday, Fayed

You celebrated the right way. My 21st birthday was a bunch of alcohol and from there on, I was a full blown alcie with trouble. Most ppl don't talk about the dark side of it. So, that's how I celebrated mine. Anyway good luck with being 21. At that age you can do just about anything. :afro:

HB

Sounds like you had a nice birthday. :? Why do you want to compare your 21st to other peoples.

I got massively drunk and got a ride in the police car. That was the last time I ever got really really drunk.
