Yeah, over the years, we visit a lot of places, but some of the places we've gone to, no longer exist. Here's a place to talk about them, or places that still exist, you haven't been to in years.
---
One of my fondest memories of going to New York in August 1999 was watching the New York Mets play the Los Angeles Dodgers @ old Shea Stadium. It was August 6 of that year, and the Mets won a pitcher's duel 2-1. It was a product of its time, but I was sad to see it being demolished in late 2008/early 2009. A great memory, gone forever.

Ridgecrest Elementary in Shoreline, WA - went there from 1993-98. I left because my dad got a new job at my current locale, a town two hours north of Seattle. I had some good times and bad, but in the 5th grade, in June 1998, my class had a party for me! It was very amazing. :)

The Aurora Avenue Fred Meyer in Shoreline - My mom would take me here for shopping when I was a kid periodically. It's still there, but much has changed since I went there regularly.

The Kingdome - during my kiddie years, I attended a few Mariners game at this stadium. This was around the time they started to get good, so our third grade class (actually, my whole elementary school) got caught up in Mariners fever in the fall of 1995! If only they made it to the World Series that year...........

Go on, share your fave places you miss.

Hollywood Video: It was the one place for me to rent movies, and had soo many good memories... I remember always renting Denver the Last Dinosaur as a kid, and even rediscovered the Brave Little Toaster... It was never the best business wise, but we still went there for the heck of it! I even remember a little bit before it closed down, that it was broken into; glass was everywhere. But now it's gone... *Sigh*

I also remember that one donut shop me and family used to go to, and deeply miss it... Now we can only get donuts at Krispy Kreme. It just isn't the same...

My childhood neighbourhood. I moved out of town in 2003, they tore down the block in 2007. I went back for the first time again two years ago (not having been to my home town in 8 years); I wanted to reminisce... but it was kind of heavy on my heart to walk past what was once my neighbourhood. Everything was gone, just a wide open space where they were planning to build new houses. It was absolutely surreal.

Restaurants which have no, or almost no, vegan options. In general at least, that's a bit annoying to find out so many ways in which I have helped to pay for horrors against defenseless creatures. Even after becoming lacto-ovo vegetarian and giving up paying for bodies themselves, I had no idea how many other indirect manners that exist within agricultural industry, all completely arbitrary and unnecessary, to pay for slaughtering innocent creatures. Seeing baby chickens going on a conveyor belt into a grinder at a hatchery, just because they're male and bred too small to become "broilers" so that their sisters can fit into small cages better, is something that won't stop running through my mind. And so many places use eggs or milk or any number of other seemingly harmless animal secretions which are used to fund a nightmare for so many innocent beings, it is just plain unjust and horrifying. As much as I miss some degree in freedom, I can't help but to stay away from supporting the Hell on Earth that we humans are inflicting upon the beings we should instead care for.

I used to work the night shift. I'd do four on and get four off.

Every week after I'd finished my four shifts my friend used to pick me up outside work in the morning and we used to go camping for four days.

We'd go Snowdonia national park in Wales and we'd have a blast, no matter what ever the weather was like.

We didn't need much money for food, we just took loads of beer.

I miss going there. But I still have a good time going to other places. :D

I don't necessarily 'miss' it, but I do feel connected to my old town still.
