Cats and how they react to youtube

Has anyone else done this-
whilst there are no cats in room,go on youtube,and search for meowing cats.
get several of the best and clearest meowing videos and make sure they are all loaded.
take one [or more] cats and sit them near laptop/pc/whatever are using for internet.
make sure volume is on [but not too loud].
play one of the videos,and watch what cat does,play another when that one finishes and see reaction to that one.


Tried it with GFB on knee last night,whilst on bed,he was curled up purring and dribbling as he usually does,and started playing the video of a cat meowing at birds,he stopped purring,got up growling,started hissing,kept trying to force his big head under the laptop table to look for the hidden cat that wasn't there,walked around the laptop inspecting it whilst growling and then fell on knee again,started purring and dribbling.

Have done it with Biscuit at parents/family home,Biscuit likes to make friends with any cat and when she hears a meow she will stop,drop and roll showing her belly being playful.
When played her a video of a cat meowing and hissing,she stopped,dropped rolled.......right off the computer desk and onto the keyboard below,she got back up and carried on with her normal cat duties [blocking the screen so have to look at her instead].

Yes I do this. I get a video on of a cat or cats meowing. I have 2 cats one of them doesn't need any persuading. He just gets up at the keyboard and focuses his head at the screen. It's almost like he's watching a movie. Sometimes he'll paw at the screen and meow back at the meowing cats.
Now, everyday in the morning, he wants me to put up his cat shows. He'll sit up near the computer mewing at me. At first I didn't know why he was doing it and then when I put my computer to youtube of cats, he sat and watched with contentment. He just sits there and watches it like TV. My other cat doesn't give a crap. I try to persuade him and he gives me the "you're crazy" look.

I couldn't do that. Peter would get scared and run. Paul would probably be somewhat interested and Prince would give me a "You're crazy," look.
