FM transmitter thingy mischief

Hey I resently brought an FM transmitter thingy for my MP3 player so it can transmit music to my car radio.

I've discovered that it can block other radio stations with it. I thought it might be funny to walk into shops that are playing music from a radio station and replace it with things that are on my MP3 player.

My ideas were to play some yodeling or maybe some second word war speeches Winston Churchchill or something.

Any other ideas of what I could play would be great???

Has anyone tried that before.

err, wouldn't that be considered illegal jamming of radio services?

I wouldn't advise anyone try this with an FM transmitter device (iTrip or similar)

I have one of these devices somewhere, though would never use it for the purposes posted here

* normal speech, like "HEY! turn around!"

That one would be hard to beat. I would be really hard to keep a straight face though and my cover might be blown.


Yeah fight club was a great movie. I liked how he made up his own army. Negative brain washing wouldn't work I think because my radio interuption would only be for a short amount of time. Fight club brain washing would only work over a longer period.

I was thinking about my plan, you could frame somebody as well. Wait till someone enters the shop and turn the FM thingy on, then once that person leaves the shop turn off the FM thingy.

cool! another one could be:
"Your Majesty has arrived, everybody bow", followed by a country's official song =P

I was thinking the odd little animal noise would be great. But you would only turn the fm transmitter on for a few seconds for the best effect.

Another thing that would be cool is to have your own theme song. So if you walk near a radio it would start playing your theme music.

I think I would choose the Rocky theme music and do some boxing moves.

I believe that it may be technically illegal. However, it would also be insanely difficult to track, especially if the transmitter were not in one location for long (ie on a person, in a vehicle).

Playing something like Hank Williams Sr. and tuning it into the rap station can lead to humourous results.

Just use a pocket radio that you own tuned to a frequency that has no broadcast then set the transmitter to transmit on that frequency, no jamming, no legal issues, all in a bit of fun

Hey no worries Pikachu, I'm really just having a bit of fun. I wouldn't want to break the law (OR WOULD I??).

The best thing would be to get a more grunty device that blocks all radio stations and has better range. Then I would be able to spread my propergander better.
