Will the Olympics in London put the country in danger? Remember the London bombings, the car bomb in London that was defused last year, the attacks at Glasgow airport, maybe holding this great event is painting a target on Britain.

What do you think?

A possible threat to London-yes.
A threat to the rest of Britain-no.

When they've got a load people in one place, and all the media watching it,why would they go anywhere else.

I want to have the Olympics take place in London. Since I live here in London itself :D. But I do think it could be a threat to the UK.

The Olympics will indeed be a Jihad-magnet, but I don't think we should let that influence decisions - we need to show some sort of strength when it comes to terrorism... besides, if any city in the world can handle being bombed, it's London!

...As for the Olympics, however, I'd rather they'd spend the money on the Police or the NHS than waste it on another samey sporting event that's simply going to irritate me for its duration.

It is very important that all who go to the Olympics
as a athlete or a spectator will remain safe.

I hope that security is a top priority in 2012, like Athens 2004.

Theres a wicked website somewhere, chronicling all the posts of a time traveller from the future who was posting on the internet some years back. I cant remember his name. Apparently a lot/all(?) of the stuff he said has spookily come true, albeit in a slightly vague way.

Anyway, according to him there will be no london olympics in 2012.

If this becomes true, then where will the 2012 Olympics be?

Yes, brushing all that fallout off the car in the morning can be quite a pain, and those damn mile-wide craters just have to be seen to be believed...

Wherever they decide to hold the olympics, that location will be at risk. Why should London be any different?

The UK is directly involved in the occupation of Iraq.
