Try the 'one card' or 'three fates' spread, they are pretty precise.

I took a free reading for the fun of it...the answer was a bit odd. :?

My question: will i ever be happy?

answer:

The left card represents an important element of the past. Justice, when reversed: Lack of balance, harmony and integrity. The suspension of action until a decision is made. Lawsuits and prosecutions. Unjust decisions and the consequences of those decisions. A turn for the worse in legal matters.

The middle card represents a deciding element of the present. Page of Wands: The essence of fire behaving as earth, such as wood or coal: The surprising appearance of a new passion. An adventurer who blazes through life, acting as a catalyst that others may harness. The intense enthusiasm and childlike imagination that fuels any new venture, needing only the application of mind and material to make it a success. Inner fire that can drive away fear and replace it with fury. Can represent a person of some timidity, but whose innate passion can be easily ignited. May indicate the birth of a child.

The right card represents a critical element of the future. The High Priestess, when reversed: Being confused and led astray from the true path. Spiritual deception. Overzealous and shallow-minded pursuit of the esoteric. Insecurity, conceit and self-destructiveness. The forces of nature unleashed.

What will I be like, in the future?

The Shadow Truth spread provides insight into your attitudes and hidden feelings. This spread is used when you are having trouble confronting something, or fear that you are concealing something from yourself. The Curious Tarot is the rarest and most unusual of modern decks. The cards form a surreal collage of American consumer imagery, eerily capturing the archetypes of the atomic age. It is the deck of those who seek to harness the ancient tribal energy that courses through the modern urban world. There are only 100 Curious Tarot decks in existence - if you want one, buy it now!

A romantic soul who embraces compassion and imagination with childlike joy. Gentle reflections on love, spirituality, and the importance of personal relationships in business and material affairs. May herald the birth of a child.

Page of Swords: The essence of air behaving as earth, such as a steady wind: The approach of an unexpected challenge, to be met with clear thought and just action. A person filled with an eager appetite for all matters of mind and logic. The gathering of information through unfaltering vigilance, careful examination, and subtle spycraft. The use of reason or eloquent speech to penetrate the veil of confusion and cut to the heart of the matter.

Achievement, success, and warmth. Light and love in personal or business matters. Happiness and faithfulness in a relationship.
Click for Details The card to the left represents how others perceive your attitude. Queen of Pentacles, when reversed: The dark essence of earth behaving as water, such as ice: A cold but generous host, driven by an overwhelming need for to accumulate and maintain opulence. A person so preoccupied with wealth and security that they can never stop to enjoy either. One who reflects the weaknesses of others, breeding suspicion and mistrust.
Click for Details The card at the bottom represents what you cannot confront or are hiding from yourself. The Fool, when reversed: Apathy, negligence, and dangerous carelessness. Unquenchable wanderlust. Obsession with someone or something. Losing all sense of proportion. Foolhardy adventuring and lack of interest in critical matters. Immature or unrealistic ideals. Strange impulses and desires coming from unexpected sources. Vanity, delirium, folly, and oblivion.

That's a big question to ask, usually the 3-card just shows you important elements of the past, present and future. I'm sure you will be happy at times, and not at others.

I like tarot cards, if only for the designs. I've got a pack; I don't use it too much though.

With the exception of the first card, all of mine were negative. That's unfortunate (or it would be if I put faith into such things).

The card at the lower left, represents the first decision along your path. The High Priestess: Wisdom. Sound judgment. Knowledge. Learning. Serenity. Objectivity. Penetration. Education. Foresight. Intuition. Perception. Hidden emotion. Purity. Virtue. Apparent emotionlessness. Lack of patience. Platonic relationships. Teacher.

The card to the far left represents the first false path that may lead you astray. Five of Pentacles (Worry): Material trouble. Destitution. Loss. Failure. Error. Impoverishment. Lover. Misaffection.

The card in the middle represents the second decision along your path. Nine of Pentacles (Gain), when reversed: Threat to safety. Roguery. Dissipation. Danger. Storms. Bad faith. Possible loss of a valued friendship or a treasured possession.

The card at the lower right represents the second false path that may lead you astray. Ace of Wands, when reversed: False start. Cloudy outlook. Unrealized goal. Decadence. Empty existence. Vexation. Cancellation of plans.

The card at the top represents one possible mask of your true destination. Four of Pentacles (Power), when reversed: Setbacks in material holdings. Obstacles. Opposition to further gain. Suspense and delay. Spendthrift.

I've read Tarot since the age of 16. Not so much anymore, but it's fun at parties & stuff. For decks, I have the Thoth (Aleister Crowley), Witches' Tarot, A Norse mythology one, a Finnish deck based on the Kalevala, and the good ol' Rider-Waite.
