I have never been homesick.

I've been on a trip without my family as early as 6 years and I was the only child who wasn't homesick. At all times when I was on a trip hereafter, I've never been homesick either.

(What does being homesick feels like anyway? Is it missing your family badly?)

I feel homesick when I'm at home sometimes.

All of my bad experiences as a kid were somehow related to being away from home... I still hate being away from home for longer than overnight... I don't know how to describe it to you, there's just something so unsettling and unfamiliar about it. You just feel like a fish out of water... I need everything to be normal, it bothers me more than anything just not having access to my stuff, not going to school and not being near my parents, etc... guess I'm at the opposite end of the homesickness spectrum to you. It's probably my most hated, but at the same time, most familiar feeling.

I left the place I grew up in 25 years ago and have NEVER gone back. (Kentucky) Theres nothing there for me but the re-emergence of painful memories. The only thing I miss from my youth are the "Fire-flys"
I'v lived all over the country and I must say "Alaska" feels more like home than anywhere I'v ever lived in my life. It's also the only state I'v stayed in more than five years since I left KY. I love how the people here are VERY accepting of each others individuality. I am "Home" (finally)

I tend to just get on with the job at hand and deal with being wherever I am, but going to university was hell for me... I really don't see how paying a ridiculous amount of money to move 100 miles away from everyone I care about for three years is supposed to be the "best time of your life".

...So now I'm back home.

I don't miss people but I miss places.

I am homesick for a couple of the places I lived as a child.

I get home sick whenever I'm away from home for a day or more. Actually I miss my room more than anything. I consider my room a world separate from this one and my last but strongest sanctuary.

I am kind of homesick, I consider the town where my mum's side of the family are from as my true home

I used to get homesick while in prison. Especially at night, where you had plenty of time to think about your life. Although I never want to go back, it was a good learning experience. :)

I was homesick when I moved to New Orleans. I didn't expect to be. I thought I was gonna live there forever and love every minute of it.
The homesickness set in after less than a month.
I trudged through 6 months of living there, but it was alot less easy than I thought it would be.

Oh I was. My second home was up the bay from my first home, the only transportation we had there where boats, so I could not just leave to go home. My childhood was spent in the bay fishing until the cod fisheries shut down.

There are times when I was not at home when I wanted to have the privacy that I enjoy at home but I never wished to be home in order to be close to family or familiar places.

I was homesick, once. My family was visiting friends in the states, and I didn't feel that I was treated like an equal, towards the end of the trip. I was nineteen at the time, and I felt that my mum, dad and my kid sister, were treating me like a little child. I couldn't wait to go back home, to British Columbia, lock myself in my room, with my music and work on my art.

I was homesick once when I was 11.

I was staying with my aunt and uncle for 3 weeks and they lived far away from my actual house. I was so homesick and anxious after 2 nights that I became ill.
Thankfully, after a week I was fine and from then till I went home I enjoyed my stay there.
