I FORMATTED the wretched thing trying to get all the music off at ONCE so I could start over(i am music obsessed...there were over 700)and it says it's gone but all the artist names are STILL THERE!! !! !! ! It will NOT let me delete them! How in f--ks name do I fix it?! !! !! PLEASE ASSIST!! !! !

if you plug it in your computer, open the Explorer and right click on its letter (like "F:"), that's how you format it. There are two options in there, quick format and "regular" format. Did you try both?

Yes. The first time i formatted it I did ut from the windows media player. That was the issue. Thanks.
