So, what's life like for you guys? I'm doing fine in college right now. Currently, I have a 3.8 GPA. I'm a Psychology/BA Music major at Central Washington University. I have a mom and three siblings (I'm the oldest). Because of our experiences recently, we follow God and we don't allow any negative energy into our house. Plus, we do things together as a family and we overcome things as a family. My signature pretty much explains my philosophy!

I was diagnosed with AS at the age of nine. All my life, I would lack the proper people skills to have a friendship with somebody. I was bullied, ignored, verbally abused, and rejected. Every time I got a best friend or a possibility for a relationship, I was always pushed away by schedules, graduations, and moves. When I was a preteen, I was a total monster with my outbursts and my insobordination. In high school, I was judgemental and isolated, but I managed to do well in school. Throughout my life, I had to learn lessons that normal children weren't supposed to learn until adulthood. Right now, I'm trying to open up and relax a bit with my schedules. Life is too short not to enjoy things.

Lower middle class, currently going to college, still living with my mother at the age of 23, wanting more out of life. You know, the usual.

I'm lower class, since I've started living on my own, but I still get by, sometimes by a lot, and sometimes by just $20 dollars, the day before cheque day. I go out with the rest of my small "rat pack" most evenings, out of the week. I was playing a lot of Bingo for a while, which is probably why I don't have as much money in the bank, as I could have, but that's about to change. I visit my parents on most Fridays. I'll be seeing them every second Friday, in the summer months. I'm hopefully about to start volunteering, next Tuesday, at a soup kitchen. Everything about me, is that of Sid from that movie, that I love so much, right down to my faulty sewage system that seems to be slowly improving. :O) I'm getting over the passing of my aunt, right now. That's why I don't seem to be as high-functioning, as I usually am, at this moment. I'm usually in the Cockney Spirit, all the time, with the exception of this almost past April. I'm learning to eat healthier. I do my own shopping, though I don't always remember to buy everything that I need, and I have to go back the next day, to buy the two or three things, that I've forgotten. My friends tell me that I'm a big baby, because I am. :O)

Middle class teenager, and I'm graduating in about a month. I attend a rural high school and I can't wait to leave. I am attending in the fall an excellent liberal arts college in my favorite city in the world and recieved their second biggest scholarship. I will be majoring in Creative Writing though I'm thinking about minoring/double majoring in Psychology. I am happy right now though I have anxiety issues and am having friendship trouble. I've just recently realized I might have AS an it seems like every day I do something that is very Aspie and I wouldn't have even blinked twice at it before.

My hobbies are writing novels, listening to music, and surfing the Internet.

I know I'm 13 days late, but welcome to WP. I know you're going to feel right at home here. :)

:lmao: Yes I sort of used that line but I didn't mean it to turn out like it did, karma I guess.

Loved that scenario he did. RIP Chris Farley. :(

Live at my parents while I go to tech school to earn their accounting diploma, then off to two years in university to get my BBA. No formal diagnosis, but have known that I had many of the aspergers traqits and could probably get a diagnosis as such. Any diagnosis that I have received was when I was 17 and was diagnosed with anxiety disorder or something like that. I was given medication and I reacted badly - it put me into a catatonic state when I was in the middle of class. That was scary.

So right now, I'm a bit wary of psychiatrists.

Uh, doing well in school. Need to get back working soon so I can pay for next year's tuition. Good stuff, good stuff.

In addition to what I said before, I am alone and will probably die that way, have an intense desire to leave home but unsure of where to go, and I want some other kind of change in my life.

Now don't say that. Why don't you get out and explore? Also remember that what you see is what you get.

There is no one here in this NT pit hole, I've looked. No NT girl around here doesn't even know what AS is and they don't want anything to do with anyone that can't "catch on" socially. I want to leave this place and go to a place where someone will love me.

In addition to that, I also seem to fall for women I have no chance with. :(

I know I sound depressed but I'm not quite that bad. I know I want to look somewhere else at least.

Same here, but I have to make the best of what I have right now.

I'm lower middle class. I have two older sisters and a younger brother. My parents, my brother and I all live with one of my sisters, her husband, and two small children. I dropped out of school and collect disability. Think what you will, but don't give me crap about it. You don't know me and your words won't make me change my life.

Anyway, I spend the majority of my days daydreaming about an imaginary world where my favorite fictional characters are my best friends, and my favorite fantasies get played out just the way I want them to. I attempt to illustrate and write down my mental escapades, but I never, ever save anything I put to paper. I also spend a lot of time running up and down the sidewalk in the cul-de-sac to help calm me down when I feel edgy.

When I'm not in my fantasy world or out running, I'm on the computer. I go to the same websites every day, but even though it's monotonous, I get very upset if I can't be on it.

So yep, that's basically what it's like to be me.
