They're kinda hard to describe so I used the wayback machine to get back to the site that no longer exists to get their description:

Our wonderfully realistic spider pins are handmade using a wooden turning for the body and cotton-spun wire for the legs. The head is made from a small oval of pseudo leather. The parts of the spider pins are firmly "welded" together using cyano acylate glues so that they are extremely durable. The pin is a "tie-tack" style with clutch. The width ("leg span") of the spider replicas is about 2.5".

Each spider pin comes mounted on an information card with interesting facts about the particular spider species represented. Currently we are making twelve kinds of spiders. Scroll down this page to find out more about them. All of the images on this page are scans of our product and not real spiders.

I like the designs on their bodies. I wonder if some Mexican artist was looking at pictures of such spiders, many years ago and said, "Let's design clothes that have these patterns!" 8)
