Poll; Was he really joking?

I can't figure this one out... so I will let the majority of opinions decide!

Anyway, I park cars kind of bad. I parked a work truck today. Another co-worker pulled up and said (not knowing who parked the truck) "Lovely park job, I was thinking of parking next to the truck, but decided not too..." anyway, I responded with an apology and then went on into discussing about how I at least drive well, etc...
Then he said "I was joking!" So I laughed nervously and said oh... but the thing is, I really did park bad. So choose an option!

Sounds like playful criticism to me. He was just joking with you, possibly even flirting.

Sounds to me like he was just ribbing you and trying to be friendly not being mean or anything.

He didn't know who parked the truck though, I'll edit the first post

I'll admit though, he's kind of cute >_>;

Still then it was a joke he thought was at someone else and not you and the other person he didn't know and wouldn't so he doesn't dislike them either. I say it was just a friendly joke.

He was telling you that you did park bad, but he didn't mean it in a bad way or to be mean to you. He just wanted to start a friendly conversation and he didn't want you to apologize.

That's what "I'm joking" is code for.

A response that will make the conversation flow better would be to make a little quip yourself like, "Well, at least it's not MY car." or "Good thing we have insurance. ".

I think he was being sarcastic, then covered it up by saying he was joking
