I visited Auschwitz KL in last year. I pay attention to dates in such a high degree that expecting from me I wouldn't notice it would be equally naive as expecting that I wouldn't notice that one has hair painted blue

My polish friend said there was no Mohair Berets when he lived there back in 98'.

I havn't heard of Irulan till I came to this thread. But it is easy to tell she must be one sexy chick. 
I also have a little bit of Polish ancestry and I see she is from Poland which is cool.

Mohair Berets is only a relatively new name for something that was known even in religious medieval times - especially in medieval times

He then started talking in Polish, and i had no idea what he was saying. It sounded really fast.
He moved to United States in 1998. He is in his late 20's I think. His name is Geralt, is that a common Polish name?

I'm not quite sure when the term "oczojebny" - eyefucking - for a very garish, vivid color appeared but I think it was already present in the time when your pal was still living in Poland. The term "mohair beret" in a different meaning than only that funny mohair cap worn by grans so willingly appeared some years ago, I remember I heard it for the first time about 2004.
